Irinna Hotel

It was a great experience for a basic hotel. The staff was amazingingly kind, helpful and so cheerful. If any problem occurred, they would solve it very fast. The hotel has very good connections to the buses with a station right in front of the main access. It is also very close situated to the port and the airport.

I think it was lovely once but needs an upgrade we appreciated the air conditioning and breakfast was alright it is very close to the airport

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my stay at the Irinna! I had a fantastic week and it was perfect for me. It was budget friendly, yet offered so much. It was in a peaceful village within walking distance of THREE gorgeous beaches, lovely restaurants, and a couple of markets. The rest of the island was easily accessible by public bus, with a bus stop right outside the driveway to the hotel. I had a beautiful room with a balcony and sea view, which was immaculately cleaned every day. There were 2 pools, a poolside restaurant/bar, and an indoor bar (with indoor/outdoor seating) that was open at night. I enjoyed the live music my first and last nights there!!!! What really made my stay great though was the staff! Pavlos and Anna at the main desk were always so helpful and friendly, and always made me feel welcome. Panos, the evening bartender was also a pleasure to talk to and helped me with my conversational Greek. My stay at the Irinna was such a memorable experience. I have fallen in love with Kefalonia, and when I return, I will be booking at the Irinna again! The only suggestion is that they consider updating the locks on the hotel room doors. They are a bit dated and can be a bit tricky to work with. A couple of times I had to call for help to get both in and out of my room which could be a bit of a safety hazard.

Always feels very safe for solo traveller. Lovely big pool and rooms with views.

This is a very tired, old hotel. There is a nice pool, but that's the main feature. The food options are limited and the rooms are very tired. In particular the bed and pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable. We stayed because we had a 6am flight the next day and it is next to the airport. This is the only reason I would stay. The Albanian gentleman on reception night duty was lovely and drove us to the airport at 5.15am when it transpired the receptionist from the night before hadn't booked our early taxi as requested.

Nice place near by the sea, beach, local shops, etc. Staff very helpful and friends!

Stay was ok, breakfast not so good. Room was ok size and had balcony. Nice swimming pool. Hotel is little outdated. Front desk was very helpful!

Irinna is ok budget hotel, which could use some improvements. The property itself is great, but rooms and the building is not very well maintained. The pool is big, but sunbeds plastic and anything but confy. Breakfast was very dissapointing as even the coffee was bad. However the reception is very service oriented and nice to deal with probably best part of the hotel!

Staff, location, and overall atmosphere was amazing. The mattress was very stiff but the room it’s was perfect for what we needed. The rooms haven’t been updated in a while but that shouldn’t matter since you should be outside finding new beaches all day not sitting in a room while in Kefalonia!

The hotel is rated a 3 star and that's about right. It was clean and the staff were good. But it's old and in need of some upgrading especially the beds and bathrooms. The good thing was it had air con but the bad thing was the wifi didn't work anywhere except the reception area and even then it was so slow that I couldn't upload photos to social media. I have my own internet in Greece but there is little to no reception in that area which is hard when you need the GPS to navigate around. The surrounding restaurants had terrible bland food. There is a local beach which would be a 20 minute walk and a pool in the hotel which seemed clean but once again, was old and need of upgrading...specifically the ladders which are accidents waiting to happen. I also went in peak season and the prices were a total rip off for the quality of the hotel.
