The Grenville Hotel and Restaurant

The breakfast had a great selection. The room was clean, and the staff was kind. It was decorated nicely, and the king bed was extremely comfortable.

The description of the king suit is misleading. We did not have enough room to fit our family The claim to have a "separate seating area" was not correct because everyone is in the same area- and a tight one at that. The trundle bed open does not leave any walking space in the room whatsoever. There was no separate seating, and we paid extra to make sure we would have that because of our family. I would have been perfectly fine if this was listed as a standard room, but due to the way it was described, I feel misled. We unfortunately left unsatisfied. There were positive things about the hotel, but I would not recommend the room. It would be great for one and *maybe* two people. My husband also went downstairs a few times to ask questions, and no one was at the desk

There were always an assortment of different items for breakfast. I just thought that over the course of five days that there might have been a change of one item or another.

Our room wasn't roomy. The thermostat was also a little bit wonky to operate.

Continental Breakfast (complimentary) was very nice. The front porch and seating areas offer a wonderful way to enjoy breakfast. But be aware the hotel is on a main road so traffic can be a bit heavy. Location is great--easy walk to the beach and local restaurants. We chose to Uber to meet friends at Jenkin's Boardwalk in Point Pleasant. The trip was 5 minutes at most.

Location was great. We walked to the beach and the lake. Paddle boarded the lake. Beach was not crowded or noisy. Whole area was quiet and peaceful. Staff was helpful and friendly. We could still use beach badges after checking out.

Great location - close to the beach. The room was well stocked, clean and met our needs. The beach passes including use of umbrellas, chairs, etc. was a nice perk. The only thing I would note is that I didn’t see this specified anywhere on the website (I may have missed it). It would have been good to know so I didn’t pack those supplies. I also appreciated that there was a non-dairy option for milk which is often overlooked.

Room was a little dark but nothing to complain about. Just would have preferred a little more light.
