Banyan Tree Samui

Schöne Frühstücksatmosphäre, sehr schön eingerichtete, gepflegte Villen, privater Strandabschnitt, Versorgung mit Wasser und Eiswürfeln an Pool und Strand, aufmerksames housekeeping und schneller Buggyservice. Ein Ort großer Entspannung und Ruhe! Wer will, muß niemanden sehen und kann völlige privacy in der Villa genießen. Villa host und die Rezeption sind sehr behilflich bei der Buchung von Aktivitäten auch außerhalb des Hotels. Insgesamt sind alle äußert hilfsbereit serviceorientiert und herzlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Ein Hotelshuttle nach Lamai wäre ein passender und angemessener benefit und ist in vielen Resorts selbst niedrigerer Preisklassen Standard. Die Rezeption kooperiert mit Fahrern und Taxis suffizient, aber es ist eben jedesmal ein Taxi in den Ort oder den Nachtmarkt und wieder zurück erforderlich. Die Fahrt z.B. nach Lamai ist sehr kurz und gemessen an der Strecke im Vergleich z.B. zu Taxifahrten z.B. in bangkok overpriced. Wir reden natürlich nicht über Unsummen, aber es wäre eine einfache und willkommene Annehmlichkeit. Die Flip Flops die gestellt werden müssen gekauft werden, wenn man sie mitnehmen will. Ungewöhnlich für Banyan Tree, stellt sich die Frage ob die mehrfach getragen werden? Wir haben sie daher nicht benutzt. Aber auch das sicher keine wirkliche Kritik. Es ist ein sehr schönes und empfehlenswertes Resort!

Dream stay in Koh Samui, great service, rooms and setting. Just incredible

The upmost main thing here is the staff, they make the experience wonderful. From lobby, to buggy drivers to restaurant staff. The villas are spacious, breakfast has a wide variety, food is good quality and the sand restaurant is fantastic. Clean and beautifully green, and exceptional staff such as Thin, Stamp, Jack, Chompu, Aom and lots more made the staff for our daughters amazing

Feel like some things are a little expensive given it was a resort and service charges were everywhere

Everything is well curated and considered. The staff are incredibly friendly and accomodating. The villas are luxurious and large, and the personal infinity pool and jacuzzi overlooking the ocean and sunrise - wow! The food is delicious and the bird life a wonderful surprise.

I recently booked a stay at Banyan Tree Koh Samui expecting the level of quality and service typically associated with Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival I was first shown a villa overlooking an active construction site, which was clearly unsuitable. After declining that room, I was taken to another villa which appeared to be a lower category than the one originally booked, lacking features such as the bath included in my reservation. I was then asked to wait for around an hour in the beach area while an alternative was arranged. During this time it became apparent that much of the resort appears tired and in significant need of refurbishment. The beach and restaurant areas looked poorly maintained and far removed from what one would expect of a luxury property. When I was eventually shown the replacement villa, it was in very poor condition for a hotel operating at this price point. The room showed clear signs of wear, visible repair work in the bathroom, and basic housekeeping issues such as an unpolished glass table. Overall the villa felt dated and neglected rather than premium. I was told that a manager would come to speak with me, but no one ever did. Given the condition of the property and the issues with the accommodation provided, I decided to leave the resort the same day, as it simply did not meet the standard of what had been booked. While the remaining nights were refunded, I was still charged approximately £850 for the single night, despite the fact the accommodation provided did not match the booking or expected standard. More disappointing still, I have since contacted Banyan Tree Guest Relations multiple times and have received no acknowledgement or response whatsoever. In its current condition, this property appears seriously overdue for a full refurbishment, and the villas and common areas fall well short of the expectations set by the Banyan Tree brand.
