"Bungolows amist the Mayan ruins"

10.0

Wonderful stay! Relaxing and beautiful resort. We stayed for 2 nights at this resort and it was perfect during our Cancun vacation. I didn't want to have the kids (11 to 19) to have the tour bus experience. I wanted them to appreciate the ruins, the people and culture that surrounds this magical place. Absolutely worth every penny!

"Excellent location, peaceful and beautiful"

8.0

We could have stayed forever. We all (adults and children) loved it. The pools were almost ours exclusively. The grounds are meticulous. The song birds, bullfrogs and night noises were other worldly. If you like old world charm, this is it.

"Jungle elegance"

10.0

What a great stay at "The Lodge Chichen Itza" We arrived a little late in the evening but was still met at the gate with a notice of our intended arrival. Picked up by golf type cart including our baggage and brought to the front desk where we quickly checked in and were told about the grounds and activities. Once our room was confirmed we were taken to our bungalow and baggage was brought inside for us. Beautiful surroundings and very nice bungalow. Woke up to the birds singing in the jungle every morning! Loved it and would certainly recommend it, so much so we would do it all again. Gary & April (The Frozen Few) Fairbanks Alaska

"Great Property"

10.0

We stayed one night at The Lodge and loved our visit. The place is very quaint and extremely well manicured. The access to Chichen Itza through the side entrance makes this a perfect place to stay. We were planning on seeing the night show, but you need tickets in advance, even though they don't charge for them. Needless to say we couldn't get them. But The Lodge does have a nice planetarium show on the history of the Mayans which is in the middle of the property and well done - worth doing. As for the lodging, there are 3 rooms per unit - so you share a covered deck or porch, which is fine. I read that some people could hear their neighbors, but as we didn't have one we had a quiet stay. We did wake up to a tarantula in the bathroom, as you are in the middle of the jungle. We informed the staff, how were a bit shocked, but the took care of it promptly.

"Mansion Living in the Jungle"

10.0

Could have not been more incredibly surprised! The grounds are a manicured botanical garden, pools deliciously cool, Mural Dining Room stately, rooms comfy and the mosquito netting draping over the bed romantic rather than cloying. Enjoyed some of the best Mexican cuisine on the trip here. Go with the bungalows if you can, well worth the extra money. Afterwards, lounge by the pool and be entertained by the symphony of unique bird calls. Don’t miss the sky show in the hotel’s observatory, or the nighttime light show next door at Chitzen Itza. Explore Chitzen Itza through their private entrance, come back for a great lunch and dip in the pool, then go back for the cooler afternoon. Plus, several of the main ruins can be seen from the hotel lobby.

"Explore Chichen Itza from here."

10.0

We stayed two nights in this gracious hotel surrounded by jungle vegetation and birds. Several restaurants, comfortable beds, lots of outside relaxing space, pools. A private entrance allows exploring Chichen Itza, while avoiding line-ups at the main entrance. We had an excellent guide for the ruins. The hotel itself has a worthwhile Planetarium. We both loved our stay.

"Very close to Uxmal"

10.0

This inexpensive hotel is 2km from the ruins of Uxmal. Simple and comfortable, it is a great deal. The staff was very nice and the rooms very good. Two other hotels a but closer are >5 times the price. Nice view of the Uxmal pyramid and the forest from the rooms

"Amazing location"

10.0

Hotel is very nice, rooms are large and luxurious and in beautiful grounds. But main attraction is having Chichen Itza in the back garden with a private entrance so you can beat the crowds in the morning

"Beautiful yet lacks some "

8.0

The surrounding are beautiful, the bungalows are very nice and clean. The main problem was the bed was terrible. It had a 6 inch valley in the middle, made for a terrible night sleep. Bungalows are a distant from the restaurant and lobby, since there are no phones in the rooms, we made arraignments to have a staff member pick us up, they did not show up, not once but twice.
