Beautiful hotel. Super friendly staff who were just perfect. Loved it. Absolutely amazing breakfast too. Bear the dog and his person were additional delights.

A beautiful hotel, situated on the historic Royal Terrace at the bottom of Calton Hill which after a short climb has brilliant views over the skyline of Edinburgh and Arthur's Seat. It is also an art gallery with stunning pictures wherever you look. Amazing attention to detail in the bedroom all the amenities you could ask for and a stocked mini fridge which was good to store own drinks too. Highly recommend the whisky tasting with Tony The Whisky Man which was in the amazing whisky lounge, very tasty, interesting and informative. Jonathan the manager, Tony and all the staff could not have been more welcoming and on hand to offer assistance at any point throughout our three night stay. A great base to explore Edinburgh, ten minutes walk to Princess Street, but away from the hustle and bustle so not noisy at night, or 5 minutes walk to get the tram from Picardy Place to Leith to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia which was a 11 minute journey and ran every 8/10 minutes. We had breakfast on our last morning ahead of a days' travel which was amazing and worth every penny. Recommend booking directly with the hotel and would definitely return. Amazing stay at 24 Royal Terrace. The staff was particularly nice and the environment is great. Very nice room and artworks. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
