Hotel Monec

Although the hotel's facilities look and sound good the service is quite lacking. We were 2 families paying for 3 rooms but they tried to charge us for kids' beds who were all under 6 years of age. During our stay, while we were out all day, housekeeping didn't clean our room and no card was available to put on the door handle. We returned with a baby at 15:00; at 15:30 housekeeping knocked on our door. İ had a baby sleeping in the room and told them they had to come back and they said they were leaving at 15:30. When i asked why they didnt clean in the morning, they said that they didnt. İ can reasonably say that this hotel does not provide housekeeping.

I was attending an agribusiness value chain workshop organized by ICCIA and was stationed at Hotel Monecin Ankara. The hotel was a decent stay in Ankara, the location was little off from the city center and somehow in an isolated area. There was a shopping mall at a walking distance. The rooms, bed, restaurant were little above average. Restaurant had limited choices as they catered only for us. Breakfast was somehow OK with limited English choices. This is recommended only for business travellers who needs to stay here or closeby.

Great hotel, very near to where we wanted to be. Second visit to this hotel in the last year. Great breakfasts. Very friendly courteous staff. Outside of city centre but suited us. About 45 minutes from airport.

Very quiet place, attentive service, rooms are spacious and well appointed

This hotel is a little way out of the city centre so if you are after the full-on experience of a step out of the door into the nightlife hotel, this is probably not for you. However, if you want a peaceful, comfortable night in spacious accommodation, friendly staff and good views - this is for you. The room was large, with sofa, armchair and desk in the lounge area and a separate bedroom with a large comfortable bed. It had a well proportioned and maintained bathroom with a great shower! The room had its own balcony with table and chairs and a great view. I only had breakfast so can't vouch for the dinner menu, but breakfast was good, with a good variety of cheeses and cooked meats, lovely crusty bread and fruit and yoghurt. There was hot food available but to be honest this didn't look as tempting as the cold buffet. The city view in the evening from the restaurant balcony was very good, especially when accompanied by an ice cold beer served in a chilled glass. The staff are helpful and friendly; not much English spoken but that's one of the joys of being abroad. There are plenty of taxis and buses literally on the corner and the city isn't too long a walk away. It is some distance from the airport, so make sure you have transfer booked if staying at this hotel. My taxi driver didn't know where the hotel was and had to phone to find out - but all that negotiation was done in a friendly, efficient manner with no fuss It's about a forty minute journey costing around 125 Turkish Lira. Very comfortable, friendly, good internet connection in the room and the bar, good views and that just out-of-town location that suits a lot of people I would recommend this hotel.

I don't really know where to start! All I can say is that I will recommend this hotel to everyone! Beautiful Facility! Out standing service! Kind and attending staff! great food! Normally, you don't really find me give such a high regards to any place! I'm doing that for this hotel just because of the staff alone! All I can say for my stay is, it was an experience I will never forget. How they helped and accommodate surprising the love of my life is beyond words. Thank you to: Mr. Mustafa, Baris, Ferit, Serkan, ozlem, Ulaash, Suat, Tunja, Yusof, Arana and house keeping for the wonderful job done on our room and creating a beautiful and romantic nest for my love and I. Thank you for everything. We hope to see you again.

We had our wedding organization in this place and everything was perfectly organized. The food was not excellent but not bad.The hotel personel was so kind and professional.The breakfast on the terrace was a great pleasure..

I stayed here last week with my girlfriend and was very satisfied. the hotel staff is very respectful at all times and they were very helpful. breakfast is very nice for a 4 star hotel. they even prepared a special omlette for me. hotel is located at a hill at the perimeter of the city so if you are on the right side of the building you will have an awesome view. location is about 20-25 minute taxi ride to the city center, so it is not a central location and perimeter of the city, but surrounding area is nice, full of embassies and it is walking distance to a very big mall. closed pool and turkish bath was also nice, but it could have stayed open a little more, they open from 9 am to 9:45 pm.

We had a marvelous stay at the Monec away from the hassle of the city, thanks to kind and smiling staff, full of amenities including spa, rich and tasty Turkish breakfast, and many other pros. Only negative was the slight smoking odor in non-smoking room that we had to change.
