Authentic Luxury Rooms

The hotel staff was very nice and attentive. Our room was on the 3rd floor and there is no elevators. The stairs are steep and dangerous. My daughter fell on the stairs they were very slippery. Breakfast was good.

My 2 night stay in Split was a little stressful as my luggage was lost at the airport. My wonderful host Ivana at Authentic Luxury rooms was incredibly helpful - she called the airport for me, made great suggestions and checked in with me regularly until the issue was resolved. I was so impressed with her caring and genuine nature. the property is well located in the old town, walking distance to the castle, port, restaurants and shops. the room was spacious, clean, had great air conditioning, comfortable and secure. breakfast was plentiful and tasty. thank you Ivana & Mario!!

Great hotel. Excellent service

Very comfortable foam mattress on a really big bed. Quiet and dark for sleeping. Great location to access the old town, coastal walks north and south, and the ferries and airport bus Hot water kettle, safe, A/C, fridge, good wifi, netflix. Wonderful staff. Good breakfast.

Though on the ground floor, there were sketchy stone steps down to the room. We did get help with the bags, though. It.was on the pricey side, as was breakfast, but that appears to be the norm here.

Breakfast was served in a charming breakfast room with a lovely selection of cereal, eggs and continental meats and cheese,toast, juice etc. Friendly and personable staff ...Maria, Ana, Mario...provided local information and helped with luggage and other daily services. A fantastic location ..close to Diocletian palace but very quiet. I will stay there again.

the rating of 4 stars is quite misleading. the accommodation is at best 3 stars, more like 2+. all the pictures show sea or roof top views. we were in a room which was more of a basement down some very dodgy steps. we had 1 very small window which overlooked a tiny courtyard and large gate. to see the sky you really had to look up. there were security lights coming down the stairs which only came on 3-4 steps down and they were very uneven. I would have not been comfortable staying there with a female friend. inside the room it did look like the photos plus 1980s wardrobe and cabinet and a travel kettle which was very temperamental. we were also shocked by the fact we had to pay cash on arrival, the confirmation email from booking.com clearly stated we had paid for the accommodation and no refund would be issued for a cancellation, we had missed at the bottom of the email a small area which went on to explain we would have had to pay cash on arrival. this wouldn’t have been an issue if we’d known in advance, it’s just rather embarrassing having to debate whether payment has or hasn’t been made already when we’d had an email saying payment HAD been made, because of this we hadn’t scrolled to the bottom of the email to find out we hadn’t. this also isn’t fair for the staff at the accommodation to have to debate with customers, which they do frequently apparently. little wonder there is a cash machine right by the front door!
