Authentic Luxury Rooms

Apartment Signage could have been more prominent and address instructions easier to follow

Centrally located appartment, harbour, railway station nearby. Very great old building renovated into the tourist appartment with the jacuzzi bath. Split old town is breathtaking despite many visitors in top seasons.

Slighlty noisy surroundings with a lot of people and music - hustle and bustle going till late night hours. Cash payment only for the accommodation. Recommended ATM machine by staff who runs the Luxury appartments which was just next to the office charges high fee for the withdrawal cash. Free car parking is not available. Car parking in Split city centre is complicated and for a foreigher kaotic. No traffic signs or road lines where you can/cannot park. Several jets in jacuzzi did not work - just a minor thing.

Authentic operates multiple sites, our actual room was a couple of mins walk from the exact location mentioned. The room was really comfortable and the view was exactly as promised.

The room was present in an old building on the 2nd floor without lift. Additionally, the bathroom didn’t have any ventilation. Lastly - they only accept VISA cars, so make sure you have a Visa else cash.

Let me start by saying I'd give the Authentic Luxury Hotel 6 stars if I could! First thing I noticed is when I would ask questions, I'd get a quick response via Expedia. And the staff would ask questions, i.e., do you need transportation from/to the airport? As soon as we landed in Split, our driver was there with a sign to alert us who we were looking for. He was extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed to Split. We arrived a bit early and were greeted by Ivana (who was fabulous). She told us we could leave our luggage in the reception area (a small office where breakfast is also served) and that they would put them in our room for us when the rooms are ready. Since Americans are used to a "hotel" where it may be multiple floors in one building, it is different in Croatia. The actual hotel has 2 different buildings - 2 of the rooms were just a few steps away in the same building as the office. It was extremely warm & humid so the air conditioning was a welcome! Breakfast consisted of cheeses, meats, croissants, bread, pastries, boiled egg, coffee and juice which was a perfect start to the day. Since we were boarding a ship the next day, we needed help getting our luggage to the boat and we were assisted by Mario (hope I have your name right!). To walk to your boat with luggage is not unusual and we appreciated his help! When returning from our cruise (which was also fabulous) we stayed again especially since it was so wonderful the first time.

Rooms were nice .air conditioning that worked well

Well Air conditioned, provided lots of towels, great outdoor area, helpful and friendly staff, fantastic location so close to the water

Stairs were difficult with heavy luggage but manageable

Really disappointed. While our room was nice, the entire building was being remodeled around us, I would not be so bothered by this fact if they had told us before we arrived. At one point when leaving the building I had to yell for them to stop so we could walk out the front door because debris was falling from the scaffolding that was all around the building. Really NOT fair ☹️
