"Must stay there!"

10.0

There was nothin to criticise in respect of our stay which we extended from 2 to 3 nights. Amenities were exceptional, a kitchen, down stairs sitting room, cultured gardens, we found staying there bliss. There is so much history in the nearby area that our exploration of this part of Normandy was exceptional. Mark and his young family were welcoming and friendly they were also able to tell us about the area.We highly recommed a visit to this ex Hunting Lodge.

"Falaise is a GREAT stop before or after the ferry"

10.0

Worth a stop if travelling furter into France, but NOT on a Monday as virtually all restaurants in Falsise are closed, very difficult to get an evening meal! Domaine de la Tour is excelent, very helpful and friendly, great situation, restful but a good base for exploring the region.

Excellent service once I found the location, SAT NAV was not especilally helpful. Close to very good restaraunts in Felaise which is 4 km away with excellent parking facilities. Would be wonderful for children as they appeared to be very well catered for and accepted.

"A little historical oasis-"

10.0

Domain de la Tour has become one of my favourite mini- escape locations- we only had one night as it was our half-way mark on our way back to the U.K. However, I intend to keep the address at the top of my list, as it was truly exceptional in beauty, history as well as exemplery in management.

"Lovely setting, lovely owners"

10.0

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful setting in a beautiful countryside. We used is as an overnight stay and regtretted not staying longer. We had a lovely family room - everything was clean - and were also provided with a cot, baby bath and high chair in the room. The owners were very friendly and accommodating - they were fluent in French, English and Dutch. Breakfast was great - continental with lovely home made jams! There was also a play area outside for young kids. And the price was very reasonable. We will definitely go there again.

"A Great Stopover or Base for Local Sights"

10.0

Mark is a superb and generous (Dutch) host and the property refurbished to a very high standard. B&B rates are very competitive, and the included continental breakfast was one of the best. Security was good as the hotel is slightly off the beaten track, the downside to this might be a requirement to drive the short distance to Falaise for an evening meal. Falaise itself is a lovely little town and Wiiliam the Conquerer's Castle is well worth a visit. This hotel is ideal for anyone requiring a quiet stopover en route to/from the ports of Caen, Cherbourg or Le Havre, alternatively it makes a great place to stay for a quiet or romantic weekend.
