Bukela Game Lodge - Amakhala Game Reserve

We had such a wonderful time at Bukela and the Amakhala Game Reserve. This lodge has now become very special to us. They treated us like royalty and provided an extra little treat for us due to celebrating our wedding anniversary. We thank them for that so much. Food was tasty and the game drives were amazing, ask for Evanz as your guide. The guy can read the animals like he was one of them. He put us in such prime spots for viewing while respecting the animal's space. Our room was really nice with great amenities. You simply cannot go wrong here for an African Safari Lodge.

The tented accommodation was exceptional, comfortable and clean. The room was serviced twice a day with clean towels, a log burner and drinks. The food was amazing and safari drives and our guide was fabulous.

Nothing. The view from our lodge was good but would have liked to see the water hole.

Spent two weeks in South Africa and Bukela was the best part of our trip. The accommodation was superb, the food delicious and the staff were so friendly ,it was just the best experience . Our guide, Evan ,was so knowledgeable and managed to get us the most incredible experiences with the wild animals. The place, the people and the animals were such that we will never forget our trip to Bukela Lodge. Dont think—— just go!! Noelle

The staff were so friendly and helpful and our room was lovely with special touches like an elephant shaped towel on arrival and stories left on our bed . The game drives with Stan were amazing and he made them informative and fun

Die Lage der Lodge sowie die luxuriösen Zelte sind traumhaft. Schade, dass wir nur 1 Nacht bleiben konnten.

Das Essen war qualitativ nur bedingt gut. Schade

Tolles, luxuriöses Zelt mit Sonnenterrasse und Liegen zum Entspannen mit Ausblick. 2 inkludierte Pirschfahrten pro Tag(!) mit guten Startzeiten um 6 und 16 Uhr, je ca. 3 Stunden mit anschließendem Frühstück bzw. Dinner. So hatten wir 2 Nächte und 4 Pirschfahrten auf dem fast 90 Quadratkilometer großen Geländes und haben, dank des tollen Guides Lucky, die Big Four gesehen. Zwischen den Pirschfahrten ist Zeit genug, tagsüber die tolle Anlage zu genießen. Die Getränke sind inkludiert, es sei denn, man möchte etwas spezielles. Auch die Vollpension incl. Nachmittagskuchen überzeugt sehr. Sehr freundliches Team, dass immer hilfsbereit zur Seite steht. Der auf den ersten Blick etwas hohe Preis war für uns absolut gerechtfertigt. Wir planen schon für 2027.
