Great location. A little updating required but generally excellent

Historic and aesthetically pleasing

Location is absolutely brilliant. Public rooms are all newly decorated and make for a very pleasant environment.

Our room was a ‘little tired’, in need of redecoration, windows were very difficult to open, actually in need of a complete overhaul!

It was very clean and well maintained. All areas were clearly identified. Beds were very comfortable and black out curtains very effective. It was very quiet too.

Location, staff, room was lovely and comfortable

No electrical sockets either side of bed. Very limited access to power.

Room was good and comfortable. Food was very good. It was a quiet location. However, I could not open the room window when it became hot, nor could I operate the shower. (I did report this and reception told me they would get someone to look at it). I also became slightly nasal on occasion which might be due to dust and I wondered whether they dusted the rooms when they made the beds. But overall it was a good stay. Staff friendly and helpful.

Breakfast excellent, as always, and was served promptly and politely.

There wasn't anything for me to dislike. Had no problems at all.

Large accessible twin room with huge bathroom was was great. Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful.

That we had to get staff to come and open the windows. Had to ask for a fan as no air conditioning. In our twin room one mattress was very very squishy. We couldn't get the WiFi to work in our room, so i had to work in the bar. Told staff, but nothing changed. Some staff having loud personal conversations in public areas that should be kept for the staff room. There was a second dining area, that had a sea view and didn't seem to be used much, myself and others would have like to sit with a sea view for work/coffee/drink but was told this wasn't possible.
