Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort & Spa

We stayed at the Rookery (a bunkhouse) with a group of friends for Mother’s day weekend, and we loved it there! A huge house with everything we needed! We enjoyed walking around the resort to a river, pool and hottub really helped to relax after a long day hiking, the office had a store with all the necessities and the coffee shop by the road had really good coffee!

Grotto bar didn’t have any snacks/food items left by 8pm (works till 9 tho), Kingfisher restaurant has a really bad rep so we haven’t even try going there for breakfast. So we had to go get food in town which was a bit annoying but still okay

The pet policy is very strict and not very flexible. We traveled with three pets (two large dogs around 70 lbs and one small 7 lb dog), but we were not allowed to stay together because the policy only permits two pets per room with no exceptions. We were willing to upgrade to a larger room or suite if needed, but were told the limit applies to all room types. We were even suggested to book separate rooms, which wasn’t practical for a weekend getaway. In the end, we had to let two of our dogs sleep in the car (we have a Tesla and were able to keep the temperature controlled, but this was still not ideal). To make things worse, we were charged a fee for all three pets even though only two were allowed. We had to dispute the extra charge the next morning after noticing it. Overall, not a very pet-friendly experience for travelers with multiple pets.

The location is good and very close to town. The swimming pool and hot tub are nice, but the pool is not heated well.
