Anchorage Hotel

Excellent value for money, The hotel was clean and staff were all helpful & friendly. The breakfast was also excellent and to a high standard. Accommodating for pets also made my stay so much easier. The rooms were serviced daily. My overall rating for the hotel is 5 stars.

Room was terrible, needs decorating desperately as well as other parts of the hotel. Quite outdated. Holes in bedroom wall, stains on wall, curtains not hung correctly. Furniture battered and seen better days, including very uncomfortable bed and did not have a great nights sleep. Toilet seat loose, sockets in room dirty. Lots of issues could be rectified with time spent on them. Tried to move room but they said they were fully booked. Only chose this hotel as pics on website looked good but now realise they are very misleading. Arrived just after 1.30 to get a sandwich or something before check in but told they stopped serving at 1.30 so that was a great start. Had breakfast next day which was just ok, very old slow toasters which need replacing. Breakfast Staff were miserable and not very helpful. Cleaner watched me struggle while trying to get bags through door, not helpful. I don’t normally complain but wanted others to be aware before booking. Not a great stay and definitely not worth £116 that I paid. Could be a great place with a lot of TLC

We enjoyed our stay, we booked only 2 nights but decided to stay one more. Enjoyed our walk to the beach and we enjoyed food in Three degrees West. Breakfast was very good , we liked 3 course meal at the hotel, simple food but tasty. Enjoyed entertainment . Best was relaxing time in jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and swimming pool without anyone around. Also enjoyed facial in beauty room .Charlotte was fantastic.

I had such a lovely stay at this hotel! Everything was cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained. The highlight for me was definitely the spa—our facials were absolutely amazing and left me feeling refreshed and pampered. Even though it’s a dog-friendly hotel, it’s incredibly clean and so well looked after. All the staff were brilliant—so welcoming, friendly, and professional, which made the whole experience even more special. I truly enjoyed every moment and will definitely be coming back!

We originally booked with another hotel and unfortunately couldn't stay, these guys were very helpful on the phone and got us booked in for our 2 night stay. Due to unfortunate circumstances I need to extend my stay and they were so helpful and kind and had my stay extended. The lady also told me if I needed to extend any longer they will be happy to help. The staff were absolutely amazing

Stayed for two nights at the Anchorage Hotel in Babbacombe in Torquay. Pleasant stay, good price with all you can eat breakfast included. Ample car parking on site with adjacent roads free to park overnight. Would stay again. Very helpful reception staff.

We have always had a great stay here at the anchorage hotel, staff are pleasant and polite. Food excellent value for the money. We stay there for three nights full board, drinks £1.50 £45pp per night absolutely brilliant deal and would recommend a stay there. We have booked already for next year. Situation is ideal so give it a try 😀

The hotel looks nice from the exterior, however inside is dated and not what you’d expect from a modern hotel. Reception can only deal with a customer at a time so can be a slow process checking in. Rooms are dated, with keys rather than key cards. Damaged to bed, cleanliness was abhorrent. I think to title this a spa is a far cry from reality, but more a classic British, seaside resort with entertainment. I think the customer base should be those of an older generation who I believe would really enjoy this type of hotel. I wouldn’t suggest for families unless it’s an overnight stay as this hotel would not be appreciated by pre-teens, teens etcetera. But this is my personal opinion.
