The Red Lion Hotel

Breakfast was good an extra and did not cater for cater for basics such as yoghurt instead of fried.

Good hotel in good location but food was expensive.

traditional country pub with accommodation. perfect location to visit the Hay Literature Festival (8 miles away).

I like the rural location and the pub building It’s really a pub with rooms It was adequate for my needs and was good value for money

The room was good and had everything I needed. Pleasant views from my window. Staff helpful.

My room was on the top floor and I struggled a bit with the stairs after getting bitten on my ankle (not at the hotel). I would have liked decaf drinks in the room. On the last evening when I arrived back at the hotel there was a family event in full swing so I struggled to park, and later, when I wanted advice about how to get medical attention for some infected insect bites, nobody answered the bell on Reception. (However, when I returned to Reception after talking to the NHS helpline, a lady was extremely helpful, especially given that she was also busy with the family event.)
