Timberland Inn & Suites

This is the sort of accommodation that I would not stay in unless it was the only convenient choice. We wanted to be close to Mt. St. Helen and this hotel seemed flawed but possible. The carpet was stained and the plumbing was poor. The bathroom faucet leaked, the shower had little pressure, and it did not drain readily. I'm glad the toilet worked! The linens and towels were very nice and clean. It is between two busy roads, but I did not find the traffic noise too bad. If you are very picky you will hate this place, but it is a "possible".

This is a good value for the price. We were one of only a few customers, which surprised us. The rooms are clean and spacious, there's a great restaurant directly across the street, and there's easy access back to the interstate. There are cookies, fruit, and water on checkin.

I requested a room on the 2nd floor which I was given. It was spacious with a small fridge and microwave, coffee pot ,TV and a desk to use for my laptop. The room was very clean with adequate lighting.

We arrived around 7:30 pm. The associate told us that the hotel was 50% booked, however, there were no cars visible in the parking lot. When we entered the room, the carpet was disgusting. The bedding appeared to be new, but there were two spots on it. There were rust drip spots on the ceiling. I can see that there were attempts to make the room have all of the amenities, but it would have been better to ensure that the room was spotless. We had friends traveling with us and their room was also unacceptable. Their carpet was filthy and the toilet was not clean. Outside of their room, there were two mattresses and a couch leaning against the outside wall of the next building. I told the associate that we could not stay in the rooms. He seemed incredulous. He told me that he could not give me a refund because they were booked through Expedia. I took him to our room and showed him my concerns. He did offer to show me another room. Unfortunately, to have two rooms that were both so disgusting, I did not want to stay in this hotel. We left and had to drive around looking for a new place to stay. We did find a hotel that was much cleaner. I can understand that this hotel has tried to keep abreast of the things other hotels have added. Unfortunately, the carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced before adding a refrigerator. When I called Expedia, I was told that they could not issue a refund without the hotel's approval.

We had breakfast at the 49er across the street, we did enjoy the little coffee shop they had great coffee and prices was great.

The room was maybe 50% larger than what I expected. It may have been 20% overpriced considering we were in the Middle of nowhere

The room was clean & spacious. Good value

We were given a room on the second floor. We asked to be moved to a room on the first floor because of our heavy luggage & our age. Our request was refused because the motel was full. This was obviously not true from the number of cars parked outside of rooms.

Still working on updates, needs new flooring, but overall a great experience
