Convenient Grand Hotel

will only TAKE you to the airport, will NOT pick you up. Cost to hotel is about 200 Baht if you arrive at night

After booking, I called more than 20 times to 7 numbers of hotel lines to arrange for transportation from airport, not any answer from hotel operator. We had to get a taxi from airport our own. No responsibility from the reception about my complained at check in. Good luck the return transportation from hotel to air port next morning was well arranged. Wifi Internet absolutely junk. Breakfast quility was acceptable if compare to the money we paid. Friendly hotel staff.

overall good hotel

Although we only had one night booked at this hotel, we were pleased. There was a complete Thai to English language barrier, the air con in our room sounded like a plane taking off. The alarm on our door kept going off for no understandable reason, the room was dingy and below average standard, there were no towels provided or anything available in the mini bar other than a couple of bottles of water which meant we had to buy from their shop, what I bought, I found out the following day was nearly a year out of date! We used their restaurant for our evening meal and there was a large Thai family eating there, we couldn't figure out if they were just staying at the hotel or if they knew the staff but they were all incredibly loud and not once did the staff pay any attention to the disruption they were causing to our evening. At one point one of the men turned in his seat and spat in the middle of the restaurant floor! To top it off I tthen found a broken dirty cocktail stick in my food! we couldn't continue eating after this and after seeing the man spit and the cocktail stick in my food my friend was actually sick!

Hotel is located approx 15 mins by taxi from the airport (200 baht) although the hotel itself does offer transfers depending on your booking - otherwise 250 baht. Our booking originally was for a king double but requested a triple which was all arranged before our arrival making the check-in seamless. The reception staff even arranged our taxi for the following morning. Room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfy and all of us enjoyed a good night’s sleep before our flight home. The bathroom too was clean although the shower is painfully placed for anyone above 5ft! It also lacked a shower curtain but this was the norm for our travels around Thailand and the hotel provided plenty of clean towels. There is a small shop next to reception that offers drinks, snacks and light food pot all reasonably priced. Overall the hotel's location is a blessing and curse - great for the airport but with little on offer in its immediate surroundings I would struggle to recommend any extended stay here.

Just stayed for a night before flying off to vietnam, lovely hotel, there were loads of birds on the fields, swallows, kites etc and I espcially enjoyed watching them. Clean, modern, nice staff easy peasy to book transport to the airport and only cost about 150 baht recommend it!

Was not happy with the "nickel and diming "at this hotel..only hot water in front lobby..if you want tea or coffee you need to supply your own or buy the whole box at the shop ext to the front desk...Transfers are NOT round trip only from Hotel to Airport... I was charged $250 Bahts or apprx 8.00 was told to take it up with Hotels.com..the breakfast was good. And a supermarket and drugstore was just across the street where you can do your laundry

Driving to the facility at night I was starting to wonder if they could actually call it "Convenient Grand Hotel" as it is around 15 m away from the airport, I guess I was expecting it to be closer. But was only about 70 baht from the airport ! We arrived somewhat late at night 2300 and noticed the hotel is really simple. No fancy decorations and didn't have much to gawk at, but the man who checked us in was extremely nice and very helpful. Room wasn't anything too fancy just your basics. Shower didn't have a shower curtain and I'm pretty sure the thing hanging on the wall close to the shower head was the water heater. Everything in the room was white - white tile, white furniture, white everything which was great because the place was literally spotless. I think it might have been the cleanest room we stayed in while visiting Thailand. Got a ride in the AM to the airport, like advertised. The check in agent also set up a wake up call for us. Upon check out we were given a bag with 2 sandwiches, milk and bananas since we had to leave before breakfast was available. Overall, a pleasant experience and worth it for the price. We were there for a short period of time, but the hotel served its purpose and would definitely stay there again if traveled back to Thailand and needed a hotel close to the airport.
