Convenient Grand Hotel

We stayed here on two separate nights when we needed to be close to the BKK airport in Bangkok. It was a good hotel that has a restaurant on site. It is not close to anything. There is a 7-11 across the street and a small local shop very close. If you want to go out, it was a mile to the main road that had any activity. The restaurant had good food and a generous pour with the drinks.

Have stayed at CG repeatedly. Particularly like airport pickup. It used to be complimentary round trip. Now, only one way. This time, the particular problem was that our flight was delayed in Chiang Mai. The Hotel attempted to meet our flight, but of course, we were not there. When we arrived hours later, repeated calls, to repeated numbers went unanswered by the hotel. Upon taking a Taxi (who struggled to find the hotel), the front desk hesitantly confirmed they did not answer the phone.

I stayed in this hotel one night when I had a 6 hour overnight layover in Bangkok as it appeared to be close to the airport. Due to the layout of the airport, it's not as close as it appears and still at least a 15 minute drive. I picked this hotel as I didn't care about any of the amenities, only a clean bed was important to me and a lot of the reviews stated that it was clean. I can only hope that these reviews were old and from when the hotel was new, because it was far from clean. The sheets had a lot of stains and a lot of hairs, which made me wonder if the sheets were even changed from the last guest. Bathroom was dirty enough that I refused to use it. Staff was neither friendly nor unfriendly - they just don't talk to you and are dismissive when you try to ask a question. As others stated, hotel shuttle is included to the airport, but not from.

They charged me reasonable for one night below 800Bhat. Room condition is OK, wifi worked in the room but they did not provide me shuttle bus service for airport. Instead they got me taxi which I had to pay separately.

Good location for airport transfer. Only 10 mins from airport. Only negative is very little within walking distance of hotel.
