Delamar Southport

We brought our dog and we received a wonderful room with a dog bed and bowls and the room was lovely!

We booked two rooms mid November 2025. One single, one double. The rooms were both beautifully decorated, and the beds were divine. The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I have no complaints, other than that I wish I was still there.

Was hoping for a nicer experience for the price. The room was dated and not in an intended way. Uncomfortable bed, some hair in the tub. We were not offered a welcome drink on arrival and I thought that was included for the $700 charge, but I could be wrong. This is how the website describes the arrival experience which does not match our experience: “The moment you receive your glass of bubbly upon arrival, you'll feel the warm New England welcome characteristic of a Delamar Southport stay.” I’m sure there are nicer rooms in the hotel, but I would not recommend the room we had, room 223 I think. It was a superior room with fireplace and view of a parking lot. Wish this had been a nicer stay, but the staff were nice.

The quality of everything was fantastic. We were only there for one night (arrived late and left early) so cannot really comment on the surrounding area. I was worried about some comments about its proximity to a main road - we could see the road out the window but great double glazing meant that we could hardly hear it. In fact we did not notice it was there, until we saw it. We booked a Deluxe King Room - The double bed was large, luxurious and very comfortable. I did book the room with 3 person occupancy so I assumed a third bed would be set up in the room - it was not. However, I called front desk and within 15 minutes a trundle bed was brought to the room - this too had good quality linen and was comfortable. There are complimentary products, shower gel, shampoo, soap and you can request other complimentary items if necessary. there was also a fantastic selection of snacks / drinks / creams that you could purchase. We arrived after 22.00 hrs and the kitchen was closed, however, the lady at the front desk rang Dominoes Pizza and we got some great pizzas delivered, really quickly. The breakfast was amazing, buffet, with a great selection of foods. Really great. There was a party going on in the dining room when we arrived, it sounded like they were having a great time ! From our room on the second floor, we could not hear the revellers at all.

I received a few messages / emails about upgrading our stay before arriving, but the hotel did not think to email / message me to ask if we needed a third bed in the room as we had booked for three people occupancy. I did not see any indications anywhere that I had to request an extra bed for the third person.

We had a great two night stay at the Delamar Southport. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were superb and we loved our comfortable, beautifully furnished room. Restaurant was delicious for breakfast and dinner. Thank you.

Every December, we fly up to CT to take in our favorite band in Fairfield, and this is by far our favorite place to stay. The location is a train stop or quick rideshare from Fairfield proper. The hotel is beautiful, we are always warmly welcomed (with a complimentary beverage, no less), and the rooms are lovely. The staff are wonderful, through and through. The rooms are great and spacious. Our only small qualm is there are tubs versus showers. Certainly not a deal breaker. Thanks for giving us a lovely place to stay, year over year.

This hotel (and restaurant/bar) are beautiful, and the service by all staff is exceptional. We were there for a weekend and could not have had a better experience

DELAMAR in Southport CT is a beautiful hotel and an amazing peaceful place to spend a restful weekend. The room is super comfortable, immaculately kept, the bed is like a cloud and Bvlgari toiletries are a nice touch. The menu at the restaurant is delicious, and the service is an A+. The spa is divine as well. Most importantly the staff is so helpful and friendly, makes you feel right at home, home away from home. Very special thanks goes to Mediha who was very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. Immense thank you to Mediha and the rest of the staff at DELAMAR at Southport CT. ♥️
