Delamar Southport

The Delamar Southport has been like our home away from home whenever we went down to Fairfield to visit our daughter at Fairfield University. We absolutely love the hotel, cannot say enough good things about the warm staff, and the rooms are very comfortable and have everything you could need. Mariya, Margot, Mickey, Daniel and Alexis are just a few of the kind, welcoming folks whom we have met over the years at the Delmar and look forward to seeing every time we visit. From the mattress, to the pillows, to the faux fur throw blanket, I have tried to duplicate all these items in our own home because I don’t think my husband and I have ever slept better than at the Delamar! We needed a cake at the last second for our daughter‘s graduation, and not just a cake, but a gluten-free cake, and Alexis was able to find one for us and have it delivered to the hotel for our graduation dinner at Artisan. Amazing! The breakfast is always delicious and we have always savored our dinners at Artisan. We can’t wait to go back and visit just to visit. Oh, and of course, the Prosecco upon checking in is always a nice touch ;)

Delamar is always a great choice! A great dog friendly hotel!

Property had no shaded areas to sit when it was sunny. No grass. courtyard faces parking lot. TV cable and wifi did not work properly over 3 days and there was a great deal of double talk from the management but no fix.

Nice hotel. A little Pricey. Staff was awesome. Great food. Great breakfast. The breakfast staff were great. The only minor blip was the Limited domestic beer selections in the bar. all they had was coors light.

Truly fantastic customer service all around, from the restaurant to the front desk and bellmen. Reminiscent of the old style Ritz Carlton experience. Exceptional.

Lovely hotel.

Staff at all levels made us feel welcomed and at home. Our dog loved it as much as we did. Homemade yogurt at breakfast is not to be missed. Rooms are very comfortable.

We spent our 52nd anniversary at the Delmar. The room was large and comfortable. The bar and restaurant were warm a welcoming. The food was very good and the staff was attentive, professional and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here and plan to recommend it to my friends
