The cave experience was spectacular. Once you get past the quirkiness, the millions of steps and the candles, this place is unbelievable and well worth the time and money. Excellent location in Old Matera, super friendly staff, insanely good breakfast and the most comfortable beds ever!

This was a unique and very fun property, perfectly located in one of the cave neighborhoods. The staff was wonderfully helpful. The room was well equipped, comfortable, and splendidly strange.

The room was, appropriately, rather dark, and I sometimes struggled to locate items in my suitcase. But really, more lighting would have broken the mood.
