"Very Dirty and smelly Beddings, bathroom water flowing in the room."

My husband and I had terrible experience. We were travelling via Addis Ababa. We had a lay over in Addis. Initially in Lilongwe we were allocated to Debro Dammo hotel but because of the past bad experiences we had on our 2 previous layovers at the named hotel we decided to ask if they can change the hotel for us. We were refered to gentleman at Addis apt( Et staff name with held) having expressed our request, the gentleman rebooked us to Dreamliner hotel. This hotel is something else very beautiful building but the night mare we experienced. The beddings were very smelly and dirty.The smell was too much and it was almost impossible to put yourself down on the bed. The bathroom had a bath tub and having a shower the water was flowing inside the room. I shared the same room with my husband despite having 2 hotel vouchers, when we asked for an extra water bottle in the room because there was only one, the lady at the reception said she would send it over but she never did. Supper was very cold and tasteless, they served something in one plate which they said it was rice and chicken and put a bread roll on top and even breakfast in the morning some of the left overs from last night was served as well. A threat to human health. Despite being hungry we tried to force ourselves to eat at both supper and breakfast but mmmm we could not.

"You have been warned…"

This hotels ranks low in my book. In my years of travel I have stayed in a wide range of hotels and not all 5 stars- this however comes in at my lowest ranking. The service is pitiful- subpar at best. With the staff acting inconvenienced or disturbed by your visit. The food was not fit for my pet but worse than that was the dismissive service which squarely sat at rude! They offered 2 meal selections- pasta tinged with tomato sauce and a really putrid smelling fish dish with rice. Please note that they provided no description of the dish nor offered any preparation guidance. They simply said, “ fish or spaghetti”. No vegetables, no dessert and room temperature water without the offer of a glass. Again, it was the poor service that tipped me over the edge! The 2 dozen or so travelers in my group returned plates uneaten. The late arrival didn’t allow for a plan B at a different restaurant nor hotel! The rooms themselves were dimly lit and a bit lack luster but were note the greatest issue. Poor customer service says it all. The hotel is part of the complex travel created by Ethiopian Airlines which forces several planes full of people a day to spend the night in aging and struggling establishments until dawn before offering a connecting flight. This ecosystem allows mid tier hotels with lackluster accommodations to continuously book rooms each night! This is not the way to create or encourage tourism!

"The place is falling apart"

The place is falling apart. Average neighbourhood, terrible food, poor rooms. The personnel is not professional. I Did not chose it though. Ethiopian Airlines sent me there; Ethiopian airlines should be more careful checking the hotels they are sending their passengers to.

"Scared"

Once you arrive at the hotel there is not even a signal, The Van doenst have logo of the hotel... room # 706 the shower doesnt work !! (no water at all) The meal plan by layover (by Ethiopian) at hotel was fish & rice and a bottle of water. transfer back to airport next day was ok.

"Bad appearance rooms, basic meal"

I stayed there for one night, as a part of a long duration Ethiopian Airlines filght. The room was old and with the aminities quite basic. The internet connection was unstable. The dinner was too simple. No menu, nothing written. You have no idea what are you eating. For drink: only water, if you ask for. The overall experience did not look compatible to a U$ 1,300 ticket.

"Experience at Dreamliner in Addis Ababa"

I have been staying at the Dreamliner hotel before and it was good. Th second time on the 17th of September my experience was terrible. The breakfast was scrambled eggs with a small piece of bread. There was a person called Mega or at least when I asked this is what they tol me refused to get us water into the room. I booked two rooms and there was only one bottle of water. He kept shouting at my kids. This is was a terrible experience.

"Worst Hotel ever"

I had the misfortune of staying at this hotel twice courtesy of Ethiopia transit. It’s neat enough but the hotel has a peculiar smell, the service is terrible, amenities are old, showers don’t get cold on time... Someone always has to come check it out. If possible skip the food, too salty, too cold, just plain awful.

"Horrible restaurant service"

Rooms were average and acceptable. A kettle available in rooms however ONLY tea even upon request, we were told there's no coffee. The bed in 115 was horrible to sleep in, hairdryer did not work, NO hot water. Oh my word the FOOD WAS TERRIBLE - so many wasted their food. Another guest paid $10 for a chicken meal, which too was not enjoyed. NO beverages only water, 2 meal-options i.e. spaghetti with a tomato sauce, very dry and bland, other option was some kind of savoury rice with veg and fish. Arrgghhh... The fish was cut into very small sizes, and looked and tasted like it was deep fried a few days in advance (definitely was) and mixed into the rice. Coffee we were told will be served at breakfast and bearing in mind we had to return to the airport by 6am but assured that the restaurant opens at 5h30 for breakfast! Huh - we had to WAKE THE WAITER @ 5h55am who then only started the coffee (this chap even instructed me at the dinner table to drink water not to ask for coffee!!). The breakfast would have been egg on bread! We left for the airport only husbands had a quick gulp of coffee. The reception bathroom had a revolting stench yet it was cleaned. The only staff member who attempted to redeem the state of the hotel best he could was THE RECEPTIONIST (gentleman). Never again! Yet the hotel possesses the ability to be great.

"Not so great "

I have stayed at this hotel before. This time there was a cockroach on one of the pillows and I had to kill it so I could sleep. I mentioned to the front desk when I checked out and they barely acknowledged me.

"Good"
