The Lake Country House Hotel & Spa

The grounds were beautiful with a lovely walk around the lake leading to a river . The food was delicious very high 5 star fine dining experience. The canapés before hand given was a lovely touch and delicious. The cocktails were lovely. The staff couldn't do enough , nothing was any trouble. Umbrellas was a lovely touch as walking involved if stay outside the main building in a lodge. The room was stunning . Spa was lovely hotub overlooking the lake we loved the pool was big. Sauna wasn't working which is a shame. And do feel this should be told to bookers however it didnt spoil a thing as everything else exceeded . Would def return.

Set in a beautiful area and the general facilities were good as far as pool sauna etc goes. The house itself had lots of character in the reception area and lounge . Dinner and breakfast were very good

The room itself had little character and the bathroom had one of those tiny bath shower combinations which really are completely impractical. A small bathroom should just have a good walk in shower and save a separate bath for a bigger room . They also can be quite dangerous getting in and out .

The welcome was excellent and we were shown around the property and to our bedroom. At all times the staff were very courteous and helpful. Our bedroom the Lister Suite, was lovely and very comfortable and dog friendly. The restaurant was top drawer and a lovely breakfast.

Nothing really, a little bit out of the way but it really is worth the effort to get there.

It was absolutely beautiful. The walks around were pretty and relaxing. The spa was wonderful. The staff were so friendly.

Great location, lovely room with beautiful grounds.

Poor signage at the entrance (good at 1/2 miles away).There was no choice but to have full menu- although the menu was excellent and the £60 a reasonable price for this- but we would have preferred to select individual parts of it- due to our smaller appetite

Very cosy and comfortable throughout, plenty of space at the coach house, great grounds , excellent food and friendly staff.
