Having been here twice now I can honestly say its amazing. The architecture, the age of the building is superb. The rooms are very nicely furnished with some lovely period pieces and a lovely 4 poster bed. Allegedly our room was haunted but unfortunately didn't see any ghosts . A nice tea and coffee selection and a very clean bathroom. We didn't get to try the food on this occasion so I cannot comment on that. If you love history then I highly recommend this hotel.👍

I have stayed at this hotel before in one of their show rooms, but this time we were in the "rear extension" which was basically a box room at the back of the hotel which are smaller, no aircon, no four poster bed, a very basic hotel room with the saving grace being a great shower... The bed was fine, the view was of the car park and the breakfast was great.

Walked in for lunch.Not busy.Staff attentive and anxious to please.Inn is very quirky,huge beams,stone floors.Drinks came very quickly .Food longish wait which given it wasn't busy was odd.Lots of banging and crashing in the background..maybe moving kegs.Food arrived...my meal was beyond disappointing and not cheap.Lettuce used in salad was ,it seemed days old,other ingredients underwhelming..being honest it all should have gone into the recycling bin.Chips ,my companion had were ok.Would not reccomend for food on this basis.

I love the central location, with large, convenient car parking just behind. I stay there every time I visit Glastonbury. Staff are also really lovely, friendly and helpful.

I want to begin by saying how much we love this hotel. However, I am raising this complaint, following our recent stay because we have not received any response to a previous email. We are returning yearly customers and have always enjoyed our visits, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. During our stay, 2 out of 3 breakfasts were extremely poor. On multiple occasions, items were missing from the full English breakfast. While we understand that shortages can happen, we were not informed in advance and were simply served noticeably smaller meals without explanation. However, the most serious concern relates to the smoked salmon served at breakfast. Two members of our party suffered severe food poisoning after consuming this. The salmon appeared discoloured, with parts having turned a dull grey, and it tasted excessively salty to the point that the muffin it was served on was inedible. This has had a significant impact. Four weeks later, we are still experiencing the effects of this illness, and it has resulted in a substantial loss of earnings due to time taken off work. Given the severity of this situation, particularly the food safety concerns, l would appreciate this matter being investigated as a priority. I am very disappointed that our initial email was not acknowledged, and I hope this message will now be taken seriously. I would very much welcome your response.

Good central location

Suite was on the first floor of the hotel and there was a live band playing downstairs on the Friday night until 11:10 pm. They had just as well been playing in the room. Breakfast was poor, when we asked for no black pudding we could hear the chef shout 'what no black pudding' on both days we had breakfast. Guests seemed to be treated as second class to patrons for the street. We had terrible filter coffee, whereas there were offered the latte, flat white range and the waiter was much more attentive. The continental breakfast range consisted of a couple of apples, a couple of bananas and cereal.
