Breakfast, no yogurt, no fresh fruit but cooked breakfast good

For the cost of the stay the decoration could do with a freshen up.

This was such a cool historic place to stay! And the staff was great!

The three women who worked at this hotel were brilliant, they were the only things that are worth mentioning

The place is badly maintained and has a very dangerous stair rail. The place was filthy, tables had not been washed or cleaned properly in years. The food was tasteless. The room was small and the bed was so uncomfortable the pillows were so hard and not giving at all. This is seriously the worst hotel I have had the misfortune to stay in. We were booked for 3 nights but checked out after one. The hotel has refused to reimburse which is their choice but I think what was advertised and what was provided were two very different things.

The hotel is so old but still has some amazing features really enjoyed our stay there the staff were friendly and accomodating will definitely be back the

The only thing I can honestly say is that we couldn't open the windows and the radiators weren't on but the room was really warm for some reason there are a lot off little things that are wrong with the building but it is well over 550 years old and a grade 1 listed building so they really can't do anything about them it is still a beautiful building

The lady from the Swan in Wells was helpful slow service in the bar requested a glass of water gave up waiting for it !!

Grubby room, bedroom floor carpet dirty, grubby staircase and corridors.

Fantastic food - worth having dinner. Car park out the back so convenient. Very close to everything and lovely staff. We stayed in the Henry the 8th room with 4 poster bed - very comfy!
