Hôtel Kyriad Epernay en Champagne

This hotel is in a great location with private parking close to the Avenue de Champagne. The staff were very friendly and helpful with advice and tips about the area. The room was a reasonable size and the bathroom was nicely refurbished. We had breakfast in the hotel and despite some of the previous negative reviews, we thought there was a good selection of options. There was a spacious breakfast room with an outside seating area and also a comfortable lounge with TV so there was no need to stay in the room to watch TV. We chose to order pizzas on one evening which were delicious. A wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks could be ordered from reception.

Our immediate impression of the downstairs corridor was that it was rather dark and drab and not really welcoming, which is a shame as this was in contrast to the room, which was brighter. The only real negative about the hotel is the lack of air-conditioning, which was a problem in a heat wave. We were given a fan for the room, which was a relief and was just about sufficient. We appreciate that the weather was unexpectedly hot for June, but air conditioning would make the hotel much more attractive.

Het was een zeer goede ligging, om de hoek van de avenue de Champagne met zijn prachtige herenhuizen. De rijkste straat van Frankrijk (wereld).

Grote hotelketen, alles goed geregeld met afgesloten parkeerplaats.

Geen airco. Toch nog een stuk lopen naar centrum Epernay. Als tussenstop ver van doorgaande route naar zuiden of noorden.
