"Not a 4* hotel in my opinion!"

After a long day travelling once we were shown our room we just wanted to relax with a cup of tea on the terrace....just one problem no tea or coffee making facilities in the room!!! For a 4* hotel we have never come across this before! If you wanted an" English breakfast tea" you had to go down to the bar and pay an exorbitant price for it and when it did come the pot with hot water in it didn't even come with a lid!!! The bar prices were terrible €19 for a gin and tonic and Southern Comfort and lemonade (after we had to show them the drinks menu as they had never heard of it)! The hotel itself was very clean, not overall very friendly on reception or in the restaurant. Food was average although mostly cold and not very varied.

"Recomended for relax"

Very nice place with exellent service, good food, clean and comfortable room. Swimming polo was clean as the baech. The only problem was the transportation to the Cefalu. The shattle bus should be available not only twice a day but every one or two houres.

"Don't Bother Making Any Requests"

Requested balcony that gets afternoon sun. On room allocation, rep checked that balcony got afternoon sun. Oh yes, said reception. On arrival in room, balcony in complete shade. Back down to reception, given another room, same side of the hotel - quelle surprise, in complete shade. Third room a repeat of the other two. Result - very disappointed customer, hotel could not care less, completely ignored room request and/or do not know their rooms.

"October 24 Holiday in Acacia Resort Hotel"

I have stayed in many 4/5 star hotels around the world and this hotel didn't quite meet the criteria of such a rating. The hotel was chosen by our tour company, not myself and I wouldn't have stayed due to the isolated location. As once we checked in all the hotel was interested in was making more money from it's customers. The hotel is set in lovely surroundings with a relaxing area around the pool, the life guard was either on their phone or smoking. I didn't manage to explore the other amenities, due to tour. The bedroom was reasonable for the duration of my stay. Although in place some TLC was required. There was no tea/coffee making facilities. Reception staff explained that they couldn't provide a kettle. I've never experienced this before in any hotel around the world that I have stayed in. My side of the hotel was in shade most of the day, so I didn't get the opportunity to sit on the balcony. I only had a sheet over my bed compared to my other travel companions. I requested and received a single thin blanket for a double bed, which made no difference. The bathroom was reasonably equipped, although I had a cardboard cup for use in the bathroom and usually there is larger dispensers for shampoo etc, not small bottles. Many hotels indulge guests with pre dinner drinks at a reasonable prices, not in this hotel where drinks were over priced. The cusine at breakfast/dinner was standard/repetitive. There were not many healthy options, everything most were in syrup or had been deep fried or in pastry. Thank goodness for the salads. I was saddened that I couldn't have a warm drink of tea after diner and on a few occasions had to pay and it was presented in a cardboard cup! There was a cash machine in a relaxing area, which spoilt the ambience should have been placed in the reception area. I hope the management take on the contuctive feed back, as the hotel could be more comfortable for its customers.

Zum Abendessen flip flops und Badeschuhe das geht gar nicht zumal der Ober mit Fliege bedient. Das müsste vom Hause aus verboten werden. Das ist unterste schublade.

"AMAZING!"

I stayed at the Acacia Resort for a week with my girlfriend. What can I say, fantastic experience, helpful staff ready to satisfy any request, amazing and typical food. the strong point is definitely the swimming pool, I have never seen such a beautiful and well-kept swimming pool. recommended experience. I have traveled a lot in Sicily and this is definitely the best holiday. highly recommended

"Nice hotel, bad location, food needs improving."

This hotel is quite isolated which is very disappointing for those who wish to go out for a meal or for a drink in the day. Prices at the hotel are quite high and rooms do not have a kettle supplied, so if you want a coffee when its not breakfast you have to buy from the bar. You also need to take a taxi if you want to visit a supermarket which is 10 euros each way and obviously adds to the cost. But supermarket prices are very cheap for wine etc. The room was comfortable and clean,and on the whole staff are friendly. The pool area is lovely and relaxing with plenty of sunbeds so we had no difficulty finding places throughout the stay. The beach is a bit "rough around the edges" but the sea was lovely to swim in. We found the food choice repetitive, especially over a 2 week stay. Most of the warm food was not as hot as we like it and we were disappointed with the choices on a few evenings. The breakfasts were particularly poor. 2 cereals to chose from and I think the milk was sour on one morning. There also seems to be a shortage of cereal bowls. Most mornings as we had to wait for clean bowls to be bought from the kitchen. Bacon and eggs were usually cold as were the potatoes and beans. On two mornings the water for tea from the boiler was just tepid. Although hot water could be taken from the coffee machine. We would advise you to take a travel kettle and your own beach towels as the hotel towels are 3 euros for every change. A week stay here is long enough. However, we won't return due to the above remarks, (isolated location and food issues) but the hotel probably suits some, especially those who are happy not to explore beyond the hotel. I feel this is a fair reflection of our experience at Acacia Resort and hope it will help some when making their choice of hotel for a holiday

"A Disappointing Stay - This Hotel Does Not Deserve Its 4 Stars"

This Hotel Does Not Deserve Its 4 Stars. Upon my arrival, I was assigned a room on the ground floor, which was old and clearly not renovated. The room was in terrible condition: dirty, with limescale everywhere, and the bathroom was a mess, including a leak in the bidet that flooded the floor. I requested to change rooms, but I was told to come back the next day. When I returned, they tried to tell me that no other rooms were available. After insisting that I didn’t feel safe in the room and that it was unacceptable, they suddenly found another room but required an additional payment of 300 euros, which I understood ! The buffet was a disaster. Being in Sicily, I expected to enjoy local specialties, but the buffet offered the same food every day, all cold and tasteless. The pasta was cold, and the food was inedible. Additionally, the housekeeping staff was extremely loud, talking loudly in the halls early in the morning. They entered my room without knocking, even when I had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. This behavior is unacceptable and poses a serious security issue. Furthermore, I found it unprofessional that the staff asked for my phone number and my Instagram account, which seemed unnecessary and intrusive. The reception staff were particularly rude and lacked basic courtesy. They didn’t ask how I was feeling or inquire about my stay, nor did they offer any greetings or farewells—nothing at all. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. When I was about to leave, I requested an extension of a few hours due to my late flight. I was told I could stay in my room for an additional 70 euros, but on the day of my departure, several staff members knocked on my door, telling me to vacate the room. This lack of internal communication caused me unnecessary stress. The hotel is in a deplorable state, far from everything, and it does not deserve its 4 stars at all. This establishment is old, poorly maintained, and the service is far below the standards one would expect from a hotel of this rating. They may respond to this review with excuses, but this is the reality of my experience. Everyone I spoke to shared similar frustrations. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel.❌

"It looks like heaven"

Very comfortable room in a resort that looks like heaven. Everything is perfectly curated, the swimming pool in the garden is pure magic, the spa on the rooftop is even more, the buffet at the restaurant is one of the best of my life. If you want to experience the true meaning of relaxation, I highly recommend!!
