Roebuck Inn

The room was not very clean. The carpet is very dirty and we have to ask for a new set of bedding linen as I found some hair on it straight away when we arrived. The bathroom was ok, however the shower screen and showers walll were moldy and this is lack of washing. The curtaen were quite dusty. The pub is nice, food good and very friendly owner. We had good time there..

Overall it was a reasonable stay at the Roebuck but spoilt a bit by A)Room being freezing cold on check in and never really warmed up unless we left the electric heater we requested on all the time, B) Very small portion main meal and told when queried the waiter just said 'they are pre-prepared and that's just the way they are!!' we enquired at breakfast and it was confirmed the bowl we were served the previous nights meal in was a soup bowl !!! not impressed!! And C) last but not least there is some sort of fan/cooler which kept me awake for a good while during both nights. Might stay there again when visiting Leeds Castle but will check which room first and eat out.

Fantastic food. Fantastic hospitality. Great location. Loads of space. Would definitely stay here again without doubt.

very basic...antiquated rooms above a noisy pub. Not comfortable at all!

Very friendly, attentive staff with good food which is what was needed after a long journey. Thursday night is Quiz Night and the attendees, mostly village people, made us feel very welcome. We would certainly stay again. The hotel was tastefully decorated ready for Halloween and I imagine it would have been fun on 31st.

Chatty & helpful staff, good english breakfast, only negative, single beds were uncomfortable & creaky, pillows flat but would stay again if this was rectified, again I couldn't fault the staff, very pleasant atmosphere.

WHAT A GREAT LIITLE OASIS. JUST OUTSIDE LONDON, NEAR ALL THE HISTORIC CASTLES AND LANDMARKS OF THE AREA. FOOD EXCELLENT AND VALUE UNBEATABLE. STAFF FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS AVAILABLE WITH GOOD ADVICE. ALL THREE OF US AGREE THAT IF GOING TO LONDON AREA WE WOULD USE THIS INN/HOTEL WITH OUR FAMILYS AND OTHER FRIENDS
