Kronendal Heritage

We had two weeks that we very much enjoyed in the Moyo Suite, and we will definitely come again. We know Haut Bay well having stayed with an old school friend annually for the past 20 years. We chose to cater our own breakfasts which we took in the suites small Garden area. Maggie and her team did everything they could to mitigate the load shedding issue providing standby lights. Wifi / Internet continued to work during load shedding- a bonus!! Air conditioning worked well. Outside seating area suited us well, others might find it too small. Pool area was great with plenty of seating in sun or shade.

We had King bed but initially only a single top sheet with double duvet. The single sheet was replaced by two singles and though better, was not a great solution. The setee in the sitting room was uncomfortable- a more comfortable altrnative would have been appreciated. The wet room was just that - wet - the shower needed some sort of enclosure to keep the toilet area dry.

Maggie and her staff were awesome. Innocent, Cecelia and the rest were so friendly and welcoming. They made us feel special. Maggie, the owner, runs an excellent establishment and its amazing how everyone genuinely smiles when they greet you. They clearly enjoy what they do.

We had a slight mishap when the gate closed while we were leaving the property and dented the car, but as soon as Maggie heard about it she has it checked out. She was very apologetic.

A fabulous boutique guest house in a lovely area in Hout Bay. Large suite was immaculate. Breakfast was lovely.

Owner and staff were polite and helpful and gave us good recommendations. We especially enjoyed the tranqulity of the room and the beautiful garden. Breakfast was great.

This guest house was immaculate and located in a stunning spot in the hills above Hout Bay. Maggie the owner went out of her way to make our stay perfect, always available at breakfast to help us with our activities for the day. She also introduced us to Pia here beautiful black German Shepherd. Cecilia and Lovinia provide the cleaning and breakfast service and are both wonderful and kind souls always interested in what we were up to and our plans for the day. These girls will make anyone feel part of the family and fed us well and kept our room immaculate, always going the extra mile with presentation of food and the room. We had a minor issue with a blind in the suite and Innocent the handyman came immediately to fix it he too is a star and deserves a big thank you, turning this experience into a positive. Our suite the Protea Suite was very comfortable with ample indoor living space and included a large patio area with views over the mountains surrounding Hout Bay. The guest house ground are also stunning and there is a nicely heated pool to the rear of the property if you want to cool down or have a swim. Finally it is worth mentioning the location. Hout Bay is just far enough outside of the city to be quiet and perfectly positioned for all of the main tourist attractions including these that we experienced: Hout Bay; hiking on Table mountain; Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens; Chapmans Peak drive and the peak itself; Boulders Beach; Cape of Good hope; Muizenberg & St James; Kalk Bay; V & A waterfront; Lions Head; and jonkershoek.

Maggie and her team make you feel like at home with a warm approach and attention to every detail. Excellent breakfasts, peaceful and secluded location, spacious and comfortable room creatively furnished. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cape Town!
