Rothman Manor

Wir hatten eine Suite direkt am Pool. Die Suite war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und seht geräumig. Die Terrasse mit Blick auf den Pool lädt zum Entspannen ein. Am Pool gibt es ausreichend Liegen und das Frühstück wurde auf einer sehr schönen Terrasse serviert. Am Morgen wurde mein Auto vom Personal gewaschen :) Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb vom Ort, man benötigt ein Auto oder ein Taxi.

We recently stayed at a charming boutique 18th-century manor house tucked beautifully into a serene valley, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is magical—the historic thatch building nestles perfectly into the landscape, surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery. We were treated to an abundance of lovely wildlife right from our windows and during gentle walks around the grounds: birdsong at dawn, springbok grazing in the feild, and even the occasional hadeda gracing the lawns. It felt like a peaceful escape into nature and relax by the pool without sacrificing comfort. The hospitality was genuinely warm and attentive—the staff anticipated every need with a personal touch, making us feel truly welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Breakfasts were a highlight each morning: wholesome, hearty, and bursting with variety. They offered a generous spread of local delicacies, from freshly baked breads and pastries to farm-fresh eggs, artisanal cheeses, homemade preserves, and seasonal fruits sourced nearby. Options included classic full English elements alongside lighter choices like yogurt with local honey and granola - all prepared with care and bursting with flavor. It was the perfect way to start the day, feeling nourishing and indulgent at the same time. Overall, this manor house delivered a perfect blend of historic elegance, natural beauty, and heartfelt service. We’d return in a heartbeat for another restorative getaway. Highly recommended!

We had such a lovely stay at Rothman Manor with our two children (6 and 3) for 3 nights. We were greeted and given a tour around the ground by Johan. Our room was spacious, clean, with a lovely patio overlooking the pond garden area. We had our breakfast on the garden patio at the main house which was beautiful. And a little walk down the garden you could watch a zebra and springboks play around. Swellendam itself is a nice little area to explore. It was such a great start to our holiday. Thank you to all the staff at Rothman Manor, the service was impeccable and you were all so accommodating.

Die Anlage besteht aus mehreren ehemligen Herrenhäuser. Diese sind in einem wunderbaren parkähnlichen Garten eingebettet. Wirklich beeindruckend schön. Es gibt einen whirlpool und ein gutes Schwimmbecken. Unsere Unterkunft hatte noch einen sehr schönen kleinen Bauerngarten mit Sitzgelegenheit vor der Haustüre. Gute Restaurants in wenigen Autominuten erreichbar. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich.

Grote loft, veel ruimte. Mooie tuin.

De vloerbedekking en inrichting is dringend aan vernieuwing toe. Sleets!
