We only had a short stay, but I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a boutique experience in Cape Town. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, it offers stunning views of Table Mountain and a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the staff went above and beyond—truly exceptional service from start to finish.

Very homely and friendly hotel with personalised service. Staff were very helpful. Food snacks and drinks were provided on an honesty system which Ed found to be very hospitable.

A Truly Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommended! We had a fantastic stay at Derwent House Boutique Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and personal service provided by the entire team, led by the wonderful Luca. Everyone made us feel right at home. A special thank you to Anahid, who gave us excellent recommendations for local places to visit and dine – every suggestion was spot on and added so much to our experience. One of the highlights of our trip was a tour with Trish, an amazing guide arranged through the hotel. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made it a truly memorable outing. Our room was beautifully decorated and had a stunning view of Table Mountain – waking up to that every morning was a dream. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, with a great variety each day. We also loved the thoughtful touches like the complimentary soup and cakes served at night, and the attentive day and night turndown service. Derwent House went above and beyond in every way. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality. We would return in a heartbeat!

Spotless property with nice amenities. The staff were incredible, attentive, knowledgeable, and always willing to help us. Would highly suggest and would stay here again when visiting. Location is also fabulous walking distance from many bars and restaurants!

The location is so perfect you can walk to get dinner and drinks and the staff are incredibly helpful. Also loved the free snack and soup in the evening. The hot tub was also a nice extra touch.

Lovely hotel with fabulous artwork everywhere. Personalized service 24/7. The staff was friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to add special touches. Turndown service was especially impressive. Good location: ubers from Derwent to most attractions were under $6 per trip. Highly recommend!

Very warm welcome into a beautifully decorated hotel overlooking the pool area. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. Huge attention to detail with room facilities eg. Hot water bottles and a daily suggested itinerary made our stay even more comfortable. Breakfast was amazing all so fresh and lots of choice, we also enjoyed the cakes in the afternoons! Will definitely be coming back and recommending to all family and friends. Felt very safe in the area too.

We stayed 5 nights. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts were excellent. Several little extras such as acknowledging our anniversary, nighttime treats etc were unexpected and lovely. Decor was bright and fun.

One of the best places I have ever stayed and can fully recommend it to any age no matter if you tavel alone? In a group or with family. Small hotel with an eye for the detail. Nothing to compare with the bigger ones. Super friendly and helpful staff. Day started with healthy breakfast followed by homebaked cake and wine bar set up in the afternoon.
