"How can a hotel be 4.5 rating with 6:00 desk close?"

Central location

Ridiculous check in closes desk 6:00 pm Arrived 7:15. Note on door ring. ….. Rang asked to pull down cover on key box Then asked for cc to secure (that’s ok) Then put phone on ground to get card out read back Then asked to put in code on tiny combination lock Then phone on ground to get glasses out put in code Then asked to hold down switch with one hand and with other hand pull open box phone on ground. Then had key to get in. Just what I needed after 13 hour journey

"A lovely old world hotel but don’t stay in room 18!"

Very elegant old world feel. Love the Art Deco .

The air conditioning in room 18 was terrible -it ran all night but did not cool-and it was very hot while we were in Broken Hill- also I didn’t love the balcony furniture. You had to set it up each time you wanted to use it and then pack it away which was a shame as we’d paid extra to have balcony usage.
