"Nice staff. Really uncomfortable pillow and bed"

If the rating is not so high, i would not bother to review. But i feel the rating is quite misleading. The hotel staff are all very nice and room is clean. But i had the worst pillow and gave me no support. The bath room has a smell that will not go away. The bed is also very uncomfortable. Hotel location has good view but it is quite a climb.

"Exceptional"

Alpenruhe Kulm was a beautiful hotel we stayed at for 2 nights. Our balcony room had a gorgeous view of Lauterbrunnen Valley and also of Jungfrau on a clearer day. Staff was super friendly and I recommend speaking with them on hiking ideas in the area.They let us borrow their umbrella on one of the rainy nights and they provide transport to and from the Wengen station if needed so distance from station is not that much of a factor.

"Swiss paradise"

Absolutely wonderful! The staff couldn’t be nicer, and breakfast was from the local bakery and cheese shop - delicious! The location was perfect for simple hikes to extreme hiking. I am already planning our next trip back. I would highly recommend the Alpenruhe.

"Gem of a hotel"

What a gem of a hotel this was! From our balcony, we could look straight out at the huge Jungfrau Mountain. The morning breakfast was wonderful, and the staff would cook scrambled eggs for you if you wanted! On our final day, we needed to catch the train prior to the dining area opening for breakfast. The front desk was amazingly kind to pack a bag filled with fruit and bread to take with us on our early morning!

quiet location at far end of Wengen Wonderful views from balcony quiet hotel spotlessly clean welcome drinks on arrival adequate choice at breakfast overall good value for money
