clean and good service

The Hotel looks from the photo absolutely super with clean pool and lounges and it has all those things but sadly it is right next to a very busy main road. At first having come from a much quieter island it was rather a shock! However our rooms were at the back and very quiet at night and we got used to it. The family running it were very kind and gave us refreshments. Considering it was only 10minutes walk from the Bus Station and 15minutes from the Centre it was extremely good value for the three nights four of us were there. In other words, you get what you pay for. Visit Imerovigli and Oia on the island and Kamari for excellent beach. Also the village of Firostefani. The Seagull taverna in Oia overlooking the blue domed church so famous on the postcards is good value and the views are wonderful.

This hotel was a last minute booking for us as we needed a hotel for only one night. The hotel itself was small and plain, clean and a little comfortable. However, you will want to check its location more closely than we did, as it is a good 10-15mins walk south of the Fira Bus Terminal. Its location is next to a main road and therefore fairly noisy with all traffic rushing by. We didn't bother trying out the pool as it was overlooked by all passersby and traffic, with very little privacy. If you want a basic hotel that offers a bed and isn't too pricey then this is the place for you.

It was totally fine in overall. I went with Olympic holidays, very reasonable price so can't complain.

Close to everything ..nice pool and great staff / helpful oweners

I was very impressed on how the ladies who run this place keep it immaculate. They literally scrub the walls and floors in the morning and are super clean. A negative is that the breakfast is only bread, butter, jam and coffee with OJ. You will find the room to be clean and tidy though a bit small. The matresses are hard but functional.

Well presented hotel with very friendly and helpful family staff. Location is convenient to buses, restaurants, bakery and laundry.

Considering the cost Villa Illios is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and functioning. There is no kitchenette, but a fridge and ac included in the price. The wifi does not reach to most rooms but can be accessed for free from the garden area. The pool is good size and there are sunbeds and tables and chairs in the garden area. However the garden area is located just by the main road so a bit noisy. Easy 15 min walk to centre of Fira. The bus to Kamari, Perissa and Akitori stops just outside the hotel. And there is a supermarket and a bakery 3 min down the road. We did not try the breakfast, but they offered bread with honey and marmalade and coffee or tea to a reasonable price. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. And offered free shuttle service to the port. Excellent place to stay if you want a budget option, if you want a really nice place in Fira you will have to pay three times the price at least.

We enjoyed our stay, its about a 10 min walk into the center of fira. The hotel itself is very clean, the pool is great and the family running it is lovely! Recommended!
