Hotel Oásis Atlântico Praiamar

Hotel needs maintenance as looking tired and unloved. Our shower flooded every time it was used but was left unrepaired during our 3 night stay. We reported it to a hugely uninterested member of the Reception team. The rest of the hotel staff were fine but something is going wrong with the Reception staff who were awful. Quite unlike anyone else on Cape Verde whose people are lovely , helpful and welcoming.

O hotel é fantastico e muito bem localizado junto à praia. O único senão sã as camas, que são muito desconfortáveis.

Clean & peaceful stay

Really loud, creaky and hard bed. You have to pay for water in your room. Tip: go to the bar after 5pm and buy a large bottle for €2. Food in the hotel is slow to arrive and expensive. Better to go to the restaurant on the beach next door. Very inflexible airport transfers that don’t take account of delays. Lots of mosquitos but they don’t give you a net in your room. In summary: a tired hotel. I’d be really disappointed if I was paying from my own pocket.
