Arran Motel

Staff very helpful and advised on several questions we had. Room a good size. Location a nice walk from the centre but if you were not very fit it is too far from the centre / restaurants. Arran Motel a perfect base to take in Milford Sound excursions. Note. A visit to the Fjord land vintage machinery museum is very worthwhile..

The grounds & flowers were beautiful. Staff were very friendly and the stay was very pleasant.

Apartments next door were a little loud at night.

This was an excellent choice for our 2 night stay in Te Anau. It was convenient. We could walk to restaurants. It was simple but well appointed and organized. The receptionist was very helpful and provided us a continental breakfast (which we paid for) at the last minute so that we could have breakfast before making the early start on our tour to Milford Sound. The parking was easy and the Motel easily accessible from the road. She also gave us clear directions to get to the location where our tour left for Milford Sound and the next day to the Glowworm Caves. I think she also may have given us restaurant recommendations, although I am not positive about that. Anyway all restaurants we ate in were very good. Reservations for dinner though would be a good idea during the busy summer season.

This motel was perfect for us with our rental car. We liked everything about it. It might not be so practical if you don't have a car, but we can't say that definitively.

Clean and comfortable with everything you needed. Apartment was well organised and spacious for 2 people. Two minute walk to lake shore and 10-15 minute walk to town. Staff were helpful
