"Large rooms on a cute square"

8.0

An older hotel but great for the price, it had massive rooms and is on a beautiful square close to the Grote Markt.

"Surprisingly Excellent"

10.0

Very pleasant and friendly welcome. Rooms are really airy, beautifully clean and exceptionally comfortable beds. Some of the décor may be a bit jaded but this is brilliant value and I will definitely book here again. A few minutes walk to beautiful square and then onto the night-spots.

"A no star hotel"

2.0

This hotel was one of the worst I have ever stayed in. There is no way that it is a two star hotel. The bathrooms are down the hall. The shower is right next to the bed. The overhead light was a chandelier with only two bulbs working. The night lamp had no bulb at all. The stairs and outside are desperately in need of paint. The dining area also needs refurbishing. The photos I no way reprint reality. When I asked for a room with a toilet, I was told one would be available the next day. The next day I was told no this was not possible. I decided it was better to forfeit two nights payment than to stay another night.

"perfecto"

10.0

i really liked the room in the attic, it was super cozy and quiet and peaceful. the location was perfect, about a quarter block from all the walking streets and near the water. i drank like 4 coffees at the free breakfast, ate a little bread and cheese, and the wireless was speedy enough for me to get all the work done i needed to easily even in the attic room. i would happily stay here again anytime.

"Easy access to everywhere within the city centre"

8.0

Really relaxed, laid back style. Not ideal for older people as there is no lift. The rooms are clean and have an old fashioned charm. The hotel is ideally situated for the city centre and has a number of bars within the square, which have a buzz about them. I will definitely be using this hotel again when I return to Antwerp.

"Good"

6.0

The room was generally clean with very fresh linens but the floor was not vacuumed. The young man on the front desk was very helpful, the young lady who replaced him was less so.The stairecase to our room was very steep and narrow, dangerous to those carrying suitecases. The hotel is well-located within walking distance to the river and the old town.

"Characterful, well-sited hotel"

6.0

The hotel had some personality, staff were helpful, room was interesting and spacious. It overlooked a not especially charming square and was in short walking distance of major sights and restaurants and bars, though itself quiet, a perfect combination.

"Good central location"

6.0

Hotel needs a real update and redecoration; looking tired and tatty in many areas. Triple room small and cramped, up 76 stairs! A problem with the original room was quickly dealt with to our satisfaction which is a real plus for the staff. Breakfast adequate and very good fresh coffee. Well situated for city centre and free parking. However, overpriced for standard and quality of accommodation.

"good budget hotel for groups"

8.0

We were pleased with the size of our three person room, containing three well sized single beds. The decor was good and looked newish. The only downside was the shower cubicle in the corner of the room, which offered little privacy in the way of a single shower curtain. (n.b. the toilets are separate and are shared with the other rooms on the same floor - one toilet between three rooms). The location is quite good, being only around 5 minutes from the Grand Place. There is a bar over the road from the hotel which was concerning but the noise wasn't too bad at night. Would stay again. Good budget option for families/groups. It is probably worth pointing out that there is no lift in the hotel.
