Fosshotel Reykholt

Beautiful location, outskirts so no light pollution perfect for the Northern Lights when they wanna come out and play. Nice hotel I would definitely go back to this hotel.

Great spot but a bit in the middle of nowhere. FANTASTIC food. Some rooms look out at a cemetery. :/ Amenities close too early.

We loved visiting all of the Snorrastofa area. The restaurant at the hotel was yummy also. Room was spacious and quiet.

This is truly the Motel 6 of Iceland. The beds (Think Cots). are not even twin size. The accompanying duvet is so short that your feet hang out. Plus no soap in shower and no extra roll of TP. ++ No way to cool the room. If you like sleeping in your own sweat, you’ll enjoy staying in a Fosshotel.

When we went bed we felt sharp springs digging into us. Tried putting a blanket on top. Unable to sleep due is discomfort. Complained in AM. Plus no shower curtain over bath, water flooding bathroom. Desk staff offered another room, could tell difference. So they put a memory foam on bed. Requested a refund next AM. only refunded 5,000 ISK Then I thought to check underside of mattress only to find pillow top and cushioning was on the underside of mattress. In other words the mattress was UPSIDE DOWN!!! so we were sleeping on springs. TOTALLY unacceptable.

We selected Fosshotel Reykholt due to its proximity to Snaefellsness and the City. The location is beautiful. Our suite was wonderfully appointed and very large compared to other stays. The staff was very kind and helpful. We would stay again for an extended time, if we had the chance.

This was our first stay while staying in Iceland and thoroughly enjoyed staying here for our first three nights. It was in a very good area that was easy to visit some beautiful waterfalls. The restaurant and breakfast were very good and the staff was very friendly and nice and informational.

It had a great outlook over the lake which really did the deal for me. Great restaurant and excellent staff in all areas. Very comfortable rooms.

Well maintained, very nice sauna with hot tubes and the best breakfast in comparison with other places where we stayed during this trip.

Great place to stay. The spa is beautiful and the restaurant was fantastic. Really close to Hot Springs and amazing hikes. Well worth it. Very comfortable bed, great gym, nice bar and very clean!
