Beachside Resort Kawana Waters

Our stay was only for one night, wish we had time for a longer stay. Although there were minor hick ups we enjoyed our stay very much at the facility. Sauna was very good. Staff had the room ready for us way ahead of the scheduled time and really appreciate that and we were allowed to check in very early. Thank you so much for that , it saved us a lot of trouble.

Mattress was too soft, preferred if the mattresses were bit hard so it would help with our bad backs. Have to rely on AC/Heating at living area and understands that this is a very minor issue. Could not get the Spa jets to work although the water was heated.

Possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The rooms were spacious, the location is quite convenient, air con was cold. The pool was nice, and generally other guests were respectful around it. Kawana beach is just across the road, and nowhere near as busy as Mooloolaba (I saw at most 1 Cabana, whereas Mooloolaba was Cabana carpet), although the waves were a bit rough for the young kids.

2nd floor pool side room is quite close to the pool & spa, which for the most part was fine. Guests in the spa during day were a little noisey for napping in the main bedroom. They weren't being obnoxious, it's just close by, and not a huge deal. The bigger problem was the teens who most evenings (6-9p) were obnoxious, ignoring the rules and repetitively doing bomb dives and back flops from the wall into the pool. The bombs reverberate a lot in the room even with the doors closed.

Size and layout of apartment was great. Balcony was nice, but the weather hampered us using it.

The lighting was a bit dull. Not brighten to read by. Beds were softer than we are used to.
