De Lanna Hotel

We stayed for 5 nights and this hotel was recommended by a friend. Loved the location. Easy to walk everywhere or grab tuk tuk. The courtyard was huge bonus. Make sure you get room with balcony facing courtyard. fabulous breakfast in morning. Would stay here again in heartbeat. Staff very helpful although language barrier a bit tough. I wouldn’t let that stop me though staying here again. Chiang mai beautiful city with great restaurants, temples, excursions . Hotel a gem.

Spacious room. Location inside the old city. Near to wat pra sigh. Quiet n cosy.

I thought having a urinal in the room bathroom was pretty unique. Self serve laundry for cheap is super convenient. Great on site restaurant

Good location

Upon checking into the De Lanna Hotel we found the aesthetic and ambiance of the room to be lacking. In the bathroom we discovered a large cockroach on the wall which I killed myself. We attempted to chalked it up to something that just happens while traveling in a developing country, but an hour or two later when we returned to the room and entered the bathroom, another cockroach scurried across the floor. I killed this cockroach myself again, then went to the front desk and let them know that I had killed two cockroaches in our bathroom. Their response was to send an employee with me who apologized, emptied the bugs from the trash, and then left. We theorized that the issue was related to our room being at ground level, so I returned to the lobby desk and ask if they believed the cockroach situation could be avoided if we moved to an upper floor. I was informed that they did not have a room available that night, but that they could move us the following night. After a few minutes we received a call from the desk saying they had a room available and that they would move us up. When we went to the lobby for the new key my wife saw a large canister of bug spray next to the desk. So it is clear that this is an ongoing problem at the hotel. Fortunately we did not see any bugs in the new room, but while staying there we always had an ‘icky’ feeling And to top all of this off, the new room was technically a downgrade to a lower rate room, but our rate was never adjusted.

Great location off the busy Main Street. Kind staff but WiFi was a bit on and off. It works for the most part but you have to log back in every hour or so. I didn’t mind it since it worked 95% of the time.

Lovely staff, good location. Good variety of breakfast options. There are laundry facilities. Dryer is it great but otherwise no problems at all.

Great place to stay for Songkran! Pool and rooms were great. Only downside is mosquitos in room.
