Car park location next to room made opening the drivers door difficult, dated, no power point in the bathroom

An exceptional Motel. We stayed in a ground floor appt with an outdoor setting so lovely to sit in the sun. The room had large lounge area, comfy bedroom with a place to put suitcases and a spacious bathroom, great shower. Its location is perfect just a short walk to lake front and fiordland visitors centre. Staying in a Motel means you get to interact with a human not just a lock box and meeting Luke was a joy, such a lovely man with a pleasant attitude, a smile and a bottle of milk😄

Nicely presented, very comfortable, balcony view of lake added nice ambience.

Good location with property across from the lake, but no view. Easy walk to tours, downtown, and visitor center. Provided us with cooking oil upon request. Only hotel on our trip to provide a small bottle of milk (30 years ago, every hotel did this)

Old pots and pans with pealing/flaking surfaces. Everything felt old and dirty. Nicks, scrapes and holes in walls, no screens on windows so tons of bugs in the main room and especially in the bathroom (kept finding new bugs there throughout our 2 day stay). Really didn't feel good in the toilet stall with all the bugs. Saw them hanging comforters and sheets out to dry in the back of a building, so would get dusty due to the non-sealed driveway. Everything in the place just felt dirty (didn't want to even touch the couch). The "key" was one of those simple old style keys where all of them fit any lock

Old and very used

Lovely clean and comfy motel very spacious and a lovely sunny deck. Very quiet convenient location.

The ranch slider lock was stiff and hard to undo which we reported to the owner who will get it fixed.
