Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa Pto Vallarta All Inclusive

The front desk customer service is really unprofessional, I have been to all over the world that I have never meet the service like this , very unacceptable!! This hotel offer free wifi and primier wifi , but the web page might lead you to click to premier one accidentally. When I checked out , the front desk said to me that we click 3 times , we showed her that we have never used that and our setting always shows free WiFi , and we didn’t even have to log in after the first day check in . She said even it shows free WiFi on your setting , once you had click that bottom and even you click out right away , we have to charge you !! My roommate tried to tell her that we had never used that , then this front desk tried to show her how to make this mistake .. So you know it will be happening so easy ? Then you told me regardless if we used it , regardless the setting wifi shows that we are not link with your premier wifi , we will still have to pay and for three days ??? We stayed for 4 nights , we went out of the hotel for excursion 2 days whole day .. then she insisted to ask us to pay ??? This is just a ripe off , and I have never know that you have to pay the service that you didn’t get !! We end up to pay cause our driver was waiting by the entrance and she repeated what she said that even you don’t use it , you have to pay .. I told her that I won’t be back and I’ll give here bad review , she was still repeat the same words .. she was ruining my vacation at the very last

The property was kind of clean but there were no activities for fun for guests.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay at this hotel was truly disappointing. There was absolutely no entertainment or amenities to enjoy during downtime, which made the overall experience dull and uninviting. The food was another major letdown—bland, poorly prepared, and definitely not worth it. The pillows were incredibly uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep, and the bedding felt cheap. What made things worse was the attitude of the front desk staff. They were dismissive and unhelpful from the moment we arrived, and any request felt like an inconvenience to them. Overall, this hotel fell far short of expectations. I would not recommend it and won’t be returning.

Great stay for the price. Limited dining but food was decent. A lot of construction going on which wasn’t disclosed. Also hidden fees for visitors to resort

This resort is just the perfect size, not too big neither too small. Everything you need in terms of pools, beach, service and food. Everything was great. All rooms facing the ocean is a big plus, and the fantastic view of the sunset each day. Finally situated at a walking distance from downtown Puerto Vallarta and the Malicon boardwalk.

They didn't have long lines at dinner or breakfast like the larger hotels. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was mostly sit down not a buffet. The food was good. Service very good. We had the all inclusive and that worked well. It also had a pizza place and a 24 hr place that served continentals breakfast, with pastries, nice coffee machine where you can order Latte or other types of coffee, and sandwiches for lunch and snacks, along with fruit or salad options. They also have an adult pool which is smaller than the larger pool. They had a full Mexican party on Friday night and the pool team had various games like water blackjack or beach volleyball. Overall very good. The premium room we had didn't seem to have working air conditioning so we had to move to a lower level room. Overall it was good and we will go back.

I booked a fully refundable vacation at this property on Expedia. When I couldn’t find my passport I cancelled before the twenty four hour limit. Nevertheless I lost my money for almost the entire vacation

Wonderful service and great food! Very accommodating and friendly staff!

For the most part the staff was receptive and polite. The issue we had were none of the three spas had any hot water. Also the safe in our room did not work, they told us they would replace it. However at check out when I reminded them they said they would do it soon. A toilet in one of bathrooms kept running. I took the lid off and figured out how to fix it temporarily. All in all, definitely get what you pay for. I would only stay there again on a rush and would not get the all inclusive package. The food and drinks are mediocre
