"Excellent"

Very pleasant one night stay prior to boarding ferry to Cherbourg. Super easy check in and very clean, comfortable room. Beautiful surroundings too.

Good history as it's an old railway station. Comfortable bed and nice 'touch' of fresh milk for tea/coffee Food was reasonably priced and cooked fresh

"A gem of a place, very dog friendly!"

Lovely place, room was great with comfy large bed and all the amenities. Several nice touches like fresh milk, home made cookies and a special welcome pack for doggies (see photo) made all the difference. Restaurant was lovely too, dinner and especially breakfast (included!) which comes with a free sausages and black pudding for your furry friend. We were all made to feel very welcome especially our dog, which is very rare. Highly recommend, will stay again!

The room was very small and needed a refurbishment. The en-suite was even smaller with the shower, sink and lavatory shoe-horned in. If the charges were under £100 a night it might have been almost acceptable but at £180 it was a bit of a rip-off. Breakfast was OK but no cereal available. The staff however were fine but the pub chain obviously wants to maximise the use of the building without considering the comfort of its guests. If this is the standard Expedia recommend we will not be using their web-site again
