"A very pleasant stay"

We had a lovely two night stay at The Avon causeway hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. The bed didn’t suit my back but my husband slept well so more a problem with me than the mattress! Breakfast was lovely and so were all the staff. We had quite a few bags when we arrived and it would’ve been nice if we had been offered a hand to take them to our room.

Great management and staff, very friendly and welcoming. Showed so much care and love to the dog, my go too hotel now when in Bournemouth. Cannot rate Amanda and Sarah highly enough

"Small comfortable Hotel"

The Hotel is a converted railway station, I was made very welcome on arrival. All the staff were very helpful. The Bedroom was compact but comfortable, but be aware there is quite a bit of noise from a nearby busy road. The food in the restaurant was good, but I didn't like how a 10% Service Charge was added to the food bill, plus there was No VAT number on the food bill, and was told 'that is how it is'. I will have an issue recovering the costs from my employer.

"Off the beaten track."

Off the beaten track little gem of an hotel. Historic, local railway station forms site of today's hotel. Still has vintage rolling stock at platform. Very friendly, warm welcome from all staff. Good restaurant, with varied menu. Comfortable, clean rooms, with children and dog friendly grounds.

travelling for work, so, perfectly situated near to the customer. staff very friendly, and good food and ale. Shame it was in the middle of winter as there are probably nice walks around the area.

The hotel was in a lovely quiet spot which was exactly what we were looking for. Although the room was small, it had everything we needed for our 1 night stay with our pooch. We had a lovely meal in the pub and a few drinks, plus our dog was also given a lovely treat. He especially enjoyed his breakfast of sausages, black pudding and scrambled eggs. The breakfast service was quick, lovely food. Would be happy to recommend.
