Discovery Parks - Port Hedland

The park is next to a beautiful beach with lots of sea life.

The cabins are cramped, shabby and run down. Asked for maintenance staff to fix screen door which woke us up banging in the night. Planned to report fridge leaking water all over our food when handyman came, but they never showed up, even though we stayed there for three nights and my wife reported the broken door handle after the first. Pots and pans were dirty and had broken handles. Only one functioning washing machine for whole park, bbq nearby out of order, lounges torn and worn. The wifi didn't work at all in our part of the park. It might be okay for camping and caravanning, but we couldn't wait to leave our cabin. In contrast, Summerstar caravan park at Tom Price is clean and comfortable, with well-equipped deluxe cabins that are far cheaper.

The location near the beach. Nice staff.

Where do I start? Run down, poorly equipped kitchen, bbq areas either grotty or out of order, the cabins just so tired it’s depressing.

Always good and secure

Booked for four nights. The project I was doing was cancelled and I only stayed one night. I could not get the remaining nights refunded. Won't stay there again. Partly Discovery parks but mostly Booking .com fault.
