The Pavilion Arms

The Pavilion Arms is a lovely local pub who do great food and have 10 hotel rooms. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the room was beautifully decorated with eclectic charm. The room was spacious with a large dressing area, lovely bathroom and superb tea and coffee making facilities. Our only complaint was we only stayed one night and didn’t get to experience everything on offer. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast was delicious.

Not everyone like cafetière coffee some instant in the room would be useful.

Lovely friendly atmosphere.

Waitress at breakfast was really miserable and didn't really communicate anything with us. Also our window was difficult to close.

The car park had an EV charging point - so that was a real positive - and the bed was comfortable

Stains in the carpets in the rooms - "Please don't steal me stickers" everywhere in the room - breakfast was DREADFUL - you could have broken a window with the cremated croissant - everything was overcooked - we did complain but the staff couldn't have cared less Immensely poor customer service throughout and the pub was just sad and soulless.

Issue when I arrived related to the check in desk being closed as my train was delayed. They refunded me quickly and i stayed elsewhere but the dealing i had with the guys here were very polite & helpful. Premises looked good.

Lovely pub, cosy and comfortable, nice clean room and dog friendly.

Automatic service charge on food and a bit overpriced also pudding ordered was not as on menu. No rum and rasin ice cream??? Then not being told this just bought out with vanilla no option to change or alternative offered.

Very friendly and helpful staff. My room was very clean and comfortable and it was a bonus to have a fridge with fresh milk and cold water provided . The meals were an interesting variety to the usual pub menus and half portions were available. Local buses are a few minutes walk away which was another bonus.

One member of our group struggled with the stairs and it wasn’t clear when the booking was made that there were quite so many stairs.
