Hotel Schrofenstein

Anreise nach 22 Uhr war nach tel. Ankündigung problemlos. Der Schlüssel wurde hinterlegt. Das Zimmer war jedoch eine herbe Enttäuschung. Wir hatten ein Economy-Zimmer gebucht, weil auf der Buchungsseite ein modern ausgestatteter Raum für diese Kategorie zu sehen war. Was wir allerdings vorfanden, war ein winziges, veraltet möbliertes Zimmer, sicherlich keine 17qm groß. Der Weg ums Bett war so eng, dass wir ständig unsere Schienbeine anstießen zumal der Bettkasten extrem niedrig war. An ein Aufklappen der Koffer war nicht zu denken, alles zu eng. Der kleine Kleiderschrank erinnerte an einen Beichtstuhl. Nur 1 Nachttischleute funktionierte. Das Bad war ebenfalls winzig. Aus dem Duschkopf kam nur ein schwacher Strahl, so dass das Abduschen des Schaums ein halbe Ewigkeit dauerte. Der Kosmetikspiegel (immerhin!) war nicht zu fixieren, klappte ständig nach unten und war somit nicht benutzbar. Wegen der späten Anreise war niemand mehr da, bei dem wir nach einem anderen Zimmer hätten fragen können. Unsere Reklamation am nächsten Morgen wurde vom Concierge damit abgetan, dass der Fehler beim Buchungsportal-Betreiber läge, da die falschen Zimmerfotos (Junior-Suite) für die Economy-Kategorie hinterlegt worden wären. Das ist nicht glaubwürdig, weil das Hotel auf der eigenen Webseite ebenfalls moderne Zimmer unter der Kategorie Economy zeigt. Fotos von unserem Zimmer sind überhaupt nicht zu finden. Letzter Hinweis: Die Sitzbezüge der Bänke im Frühstücksraum sind stark verschmutzt.

Die beiden jungen Damen an der Rezeption waren freundlich und unkompliziert. Die Unterkunft war ohne Mängel. Das Frühstück entsprach unseren Vorstellungen. Abstellplätze für Pkw's, Motorräder und Fahrräder vorhanden (Hotel befindet sich in der Stadtmitte).

The food in the restaurant was great!

We were initially put in a room that did not include the view our reservation promised. After asking, we were moved to a larger, nicer room with a large patio and spectacular views. Good service. Nice dining area for breakfast.

Very small rooms and even smaller beds. Beds were inclined to the side, making it uncomfortable to sleep.

The hotel is neat and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient. I was quite happy with my room. It would not hurt to have a rudimentary coffee maker at the room as expected in North American hotels at a 3 star level or above. I skied at St Anton am Arlberg. It is ~25 min drive from the hotel by car. BTW, there is no free dedicated parking for the guests. The closest "City Parking" garage caused me a lot of bad blood. It turns out it is actually "very private". There are no signs in English. It turned out that before you exit you should walk to an automated pay terminal and insert your entry ticket and pay in cash and get a receipt and then you have 6 min to exit or you will be charged extra and the exit gate bar will not raise and then at some moment an indignant owner will appear and will start yelling at you in German. I stalled there two times and was solemnly banished from the facility. I recommend a public garage across the river that is actually about the same distance if one takes a walking bridge across the river. The price is about the same 7 or 8 euros per day.

Sehr nettes Hotel, direkt auf der Fussgängerzone und trotzdem einfach mit dem Fahrzeug zu erreichen. Parkplatz 100m entfernt. Personal sehr freundlich, Frühstück hervoragend. Das Zimmer einfach aber gut ! Hatte leider keine Zeit für den SPA Bereich, sieht aber neu aus! Eigen gebrautes sehr leckeres Bier. WLAN war nicht so toll.
