The Old Bell Inn

Everything was ok. Nice sized room. Handy for our trip to Longleaf.

Large clean room but with a strong smell of disinfectant everywhere, loose toilet seat made using the loo like sitting on a bucking bronco. Potentially beautiful courtyard seating area spoilt by cigarette butts everywhere and general lack of cleanliness ( at one stage a large pile of dog poo was left for a few hours). However, these are minor fixable criticisms which are easy to remedy. The staff were very good and the food was hot and tasty. Bring ear plugs as the pub over the road can get very noisy.

Good place to stay for a stop over. If you have mobility issues, I suggest you ask staff to carry your luggage to your room as stairs were narrow and you have to leave the main part of the building to reach the rooms. There is no lift.

Excellent service all round

Is very old and charming. Room was spacious but rather warm. No fans but this is typical in UK. As we were on the high street was too noisy to open window. Food very good in restaurant and free parking at rear of hotel.

This was a great place to stay midweek. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food and service at the pub was great. I can see how it would be a noisey venue on the weekend. Room was clean and big enough. Bed comfortable. Parking was easy to access.

Quiet and homely not too fancy but just what we needed

Noise from disco and customers until after 2am, then noisy clearing up, so very little sleep

The hotel it’s self was great Staff were great I did struggle with the stairs being on top floor Also the pub stays open very late so take your ear plugs Great place for a weekend away Hen do etc
