The Old Castle

Excellent location just off the Rodwell Trail linking Weymouth and Portland. Number 1 bus runs from the top of the road. Very welcoming hotel, part has been refurbished and there are further plans being made. Watch out for the turret room which will be amazing when completed! Room basic ,but comfortable. Breakfast has a good choice and served at the time you specify. The price was very reasonable,making my 2 night stay good value

The bar appeared to close early, so no night-cap. Restaurant not due to open until June

All reviews I leave are relevant to value for money. In Weymouth you will find it difficult to find parking at many hotels, guest houses and rented apartments so this place represents great value although a little away from all of the attractions. The host is very friendly and they do a great breakfast here. We were here looking at property so this was a handy location with bonus parking

Great value so if I was paying the same money as premier Inn then you could do things better but overall we were more than happy

We had lovely full English breakfast with sausages and bacon from local butcher every morning. Room was clean and big enough. It was very good to sleep there probably because of fresh air: the hotel is 200 meters from the sea coast.

Great Breakfast

There was great attention to detail with the room and corridors spotless and very nicely decorated. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast with helpful advance selection of what you’d like for a certain time. Area was very quiet and good access for walking to nearby coast and town.

Quiet neighborhood - restaurants easy to reach by car - breakfast was oké. Room was spacious enough with room for a nice little table and two good chairs, a very handy luxury , which is not often available at other places !

The matress on the bed was far too soft. But apparently this seems a general flaw in B&B's in England. It is common knowledge that a hard matress is far better for a good night's sleep. Spread that news please !! We had the distinct feeling that a heavy smoker stayed on our floor, penetrating smell of cigarette smoke was clearly noticeable. The establishment seems to hesitate between being a pub or a B&B/hotel
