Property was huge and great for family

The property is overall decent and It is situated in a decent location, however the building design lets in down. The fan for the aircon units sits in the indoor covered area which blows hot air when it’s already hot enough in Cairns.

The apartment was really nice, well-equipped, and comfortable. The absolute deal breaker for us was the lack of Wi Fi coupled with only intermittent mobile phone signal. This resulted in us being several times huddled together outside under umbrellas at night trying to book tours and manage flights and hire car bookings... Would have given excellent rating but for this! Our group had 4 mobiles, 1 laptop, 2 tablets and 2 ereaders - which were mostly useless bricks at this location.

Lacked a few 1 no wifi 2. Tv no vaity

We arrived late on the first night and check in was very easy and communication was great from property. The unit was not as pictured in the advert as had no indoor dining room at all. When we were moving around the unit our feet were literally black from the dirty floor to the point of the white bath mats having black footprints on them when we showered. There was no broom or mop in the self contained unit to clean the floor so had to go out and buy our own cleaning materials. The dishwasher did not work and the ceiling fans were very noisy when turned on in bedrooms and the Lounge room ended up only blowing hot air. Our stay was for 7 nights over the Christmas period so we did not try to contact the reception until the first day after the holidays and was not open at all over the next few days even though we tried numerous times, at least 4 each day at different times. Finally on the last day we rang the emergency mobile number to advise of the issues to a not very accommodating response stating that electrical appliances can be unreliable and that is that pretty much. I also made a cup of tea and used the little supplied milk tubs out of the fridge, tea tasted funny, use by date was 03.06.20 considering it was the 29th of December 2020. The reception was not very accomodating with that one either. Was very disappointing considering the amount of cost involved. I am far from a fussy customer and never leave reviews but this was a very disappointing stay for Xmas.

Overall stay was alright not the best though, found it really hard to get in touch with reception they don’t answer or return calls.

the edge represents good value for the price. We stayed in a penthouse Apartment. The noise mentioned in previous review RE the backpackers is noteicable but they turn it don later on (or did when we were there) Manager was superhelpful. it is close to the airpot but we had more aircraft noise in a different property that was further away.

The property was a great size with plenty of room for a family of five. Loads of storage and even included a garage. The main pool was set in a beautiful tropically garden and separated into a number a small pools allowing for privacy.

The beds were very hard and when staying at the property for a week, it made for a couple of sleepless night. The location of the property was great.
