Edge Apartments Cairns

We've stayed at the Edge a number of times over the years. If you can book for a reasonable price its a good family option. The units all different so it's a bit hit and miss on the layout and furniture / fit out as some have been better than others. Parking is secure and there are two elevators. It's right next to a backpackers and although it can be a bit noisy on the northern end of the complex once in your unit with aircon on you don't hear a thing. Overall fairly good but a few things are showing their age. The onsite manager Greg is always friendly and helpful.

It was lovely and clean but it was furnished in a very meagrely way, not homely no pictures. Apartments 19, 20 , 21 near that end of the complex get lots of noise from a neighbouring bar or backpacker or something. The main office wasn’t occupied often so if you needed to see them you can have a long wait.

We were surprised at the size of the apartment when we saw the outdoor living area. Unfortunately it rained on our holiday but the kids could still be outside and undercover. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay here, thanks 🙏

Location was good. No after hours service at all. We were given only one set of keys. Keys got locked in to one of the bedrooms where our child was sleeping and we could not open the door. Tried to call the after hours number at 10 pm- not answered, left a voice message- no response, no acknowledgement even next day which was a week day! No acknowledgement at all for the complete stay. Would never go back to this property again.

The apartments are clean and spacious for the price. Only 2 keys available, so getting back into the property has a bit of a hassle as these apartments have 3 bedrooms (so in our case 3 couples).

The balconies, while being very large are very closed in and quite uncomfortably hot. Our unit was very well decorated and furnished and the full kitchen had everything you need. The plates and cups in the cupboard were dirty but we gave them a clean and we lived. We had a 2 bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms, we requested 2 king beds but were given a room with 2 singles and 1 king. We only had 1 roll of toilet paper between 2 bathrooms and 4 adults. Reception staff were super friendly but hard to get a hold of as reception hours are limited. The apartment was very spacious and well kept, water pressure was fantastic. The pool was hot and soupy, could use another shade sail. Large underground car park was great but only 1 vehicle per room as they didn't have enough remotes for the roller doors. On street parking is available but not ideal as the surrounding neighborhood is a bit shady. Quite a long walk to central shopping center and esplanade/nightlife, would recommend having a vehicle to stay here. All in all, 7/10

This property was clean, tidy and had all the amenities from home. It was quiet and but perfectly located central to everything in Cairns. The apartment was spacious and perfect for our family holiday.

The apartment was clean and neat. The gardens and corridors are immaculately maintained.

The apartment very roomy ,modern and clean it bigger than i expected highly recommended.

Spacious unit, clean calm and quiet. Had good facilities.
